Steely Dan played the first songs I fell in love with as a kid. In fact for me personally, I have yet to hear a steely Dan song that I don't enjoy.. You guys give a garage band, not over produced sound to their entire library of songs. Not only that, you guys are RIDICULOUSLY authentic when it comes to their sound. I am truly thankful I stumbled upon your videos on KZbin. But only one question, when are you guys going to head up to Nee England area? Black Eyed Sally's? Toad'd Place?

That solo isn't gonna cut it. It's one of the most recognizable and satisfying solos EVER created. You don't get the luxury to change it without sounding like a cruise ship bar band. Play it right or don't play it, boyz. Real-feel.

@@42itously Sure, as a musician I'm not 1% of Dan but since buying Can't Buy a Thrill in 1973 I have probably listened to DiA a thousand times. BC are superb and I subscribe to their channel but I think this is not their best. Hey, we both love this music so let's not argue!

I have seen all these musicians struggle to put themselves and their music out there, often at their own expense. As such, I also admit I am sensitive to anyone critiquing what might have been their best effort under tremendous circumstances. I have yet to hear one musician be motivated by someone complaining that they did not cover a song exactly the way it was heard a thousand times, having probably gone through a thousand takes in a studio. If hearing it studio perfect is your thing, keep listening to the studio original. As for me, I am stoked for every Brooklyn Charmers performance because it is real and heartfelt. Anyone brave enough to cover any Steely Dan studio perfect song is top notch in my book and will only receive praise from me.
