Great job! The drums were tuned perfectly for that and I personally like the improvised additions (great rolls in those fills). I'm likely to be the same age as you and used to sit in with a number of different bands. I often tended to play my own variation of the drums in a well known song that sometimes, one or more members in a band didn't like. Occasionally, I could see their point and would agree that I may have over done it. But most of the time, there were no objections. It depended on the band members and what they were really looking for. Your mic setup was great too! Rich

I know I've already said that I really liked your rendition of this song, but I've got to admit that I can't help but play your version EVERY TIME I've listened to the original!! I think you play very well but in addition to your stick-work is the great job you've done tuning the kit. However, I think one of the strongest points that keeps me coming back to this version is the way you've recorded it. I mean I may be way off the mark, but did you run your mics into a compression and EQ system? Perhaps you applied an effect to widened the stereo or maybe a spatializer? Whatever you've done, it just sounds great. I'm an Audiophile from as far back as the late 70's. I have 3 Reel to Reel decks of which one is a Tascam 32 half-track Mastering deck. I record the music to that deck and then feed it through a mid-grade payware mixing software on my computer. From there, I refine a few things, increase the quality and then save the music as an uncompressed WAV (or sometimes FLAC), file. Of course, I prefer to record the music directly from my vinyl LPs to my deck/s but I have a broad range of categories when it comes to music and couldn't afford to buy the LPs of them all, lol. I'm preparing to record a new 10" reel and I plan to use your version of "Do it Again". I may also record the original version because it'd be interesting to listen to the comparative differences. Finally, when I'm through creating the 'polished' versions and saved them to a folder, I'll play them through my home stereo system. But I often re-record the "final product" back to the Tascam at 15 IPS. The reel is then saved to my collection and played through my home system instead of from a USB file. (My home stereo is built around a McIntosh MC2105 power amp, Sound Shaper Mark III EQ & Pre-Amp, and 6 Klipsch speakers with 2, Klipsch powered sub-woofers. The great tuning job you've done on this kit will really come through with those sub woofers!). FWIW, 😜 Rich

Hello buzee. Merci pour la réponse. Puisque tu es motard, une anecdote qui a fait de moi une "ex". Lors d'une randonnée dans le Verdon, tout à coup machine pourtant bien entretenue "éteinte" :moteur "serré", piston bloqué, les roues aussi évidemment. Une belle gamelle par dessus l'engin mais sur le plat et dans l'herbe, sans conséquences.🥵 Cinq minutes plus tôt, je descendais la petite route en lacets vertigineux à flanc de rocher le long de la falaise des gorges. Le plongeon fatal aurait sûrement été spectaculaire. Toujours pas compris ! Bel été de motard à toi (du côté de La Rochelle c'est plus plat 😅) et si tu peux partager un peu de tes aventures musicales sur KZbin, je prends. 😘 Sonores.
