a few months ago, being a father as well to a teenage son, i got those handheld night vision binos you talked about.. living here in the woods, they have been a real blast.. animals, snow, night etc.. those were under 50$.. but i am gonna have to wait for these things to drop from $2,999.00..cheers from Maine! i always enjoy your vids!! always! dont forget those PAMAX XSlick BSGs to try out.. they are the best

Someone finally came around to compete with the DNT thermnights. Those have been out for almost 2yrs now. This just adds the fusion mode on top of that.

Digital light amplification is a fancy IR camera, far from the same experience as “actual” light amplification, I said it that way because if I said analog done people would assume it’s inferior, it’s not… there’s no processing lag in it. That said, fusing thermal and light amplification is the future.

I believe that thermal and (digital) NV scopes of today are in the same position as red dots were in the 90s: bulky, expensive and some with questionable performance. With incremental development in microprocessors and components, imagine how more compact, reliable, durable and affordable they will be in 10 years. And that’s before talking about how fast software evolves: scopes with integrated range finding, HUD with range and weather information, real time BDC reticles and target tagging will be common place sooner than we realize.
