One of the things I admire about Kev is how he resists the humanisation of these animals. You can tell by the questions about whether lions would ‘protect’ him or not that many of us viewers want to think of the Lions as having human loving feelings towards him, but Kevin does the responsible thing by always reiterating that these magnificent creatures have their own nature and it is significantly different to ours. Not more or less valuable, just different.

Most likely it stems from jealousy. The other fellow works in the "Same Field" as Kevin, and is evidently not as successful as Kevin, nor as well known. Hence the jealousy. He may not approve of Kevin's methods either, and probably doesn't have his own sanctuary like Kevin does either. Everyone wants to be the best at what they do, but there is only one *Lion Whisperer,* and the other fellow is envious and obviously doesn't handle it well. Of course his is just speculation on my part, (my opinion), if you will, but I have seen, (and experienced), this many times in my own life. There is really nothing you can do about others being jealous and petty towards you, so you just have to keep on doing what you do, try to be an inspiration to others, and continue to be the best at what you do. Just be nice, walk away, and leave those who can't handle it to their own fate.

I've seen video where he was taking a nap with some of the male lions, and they were all in a big pile. Kevin was resting his head on one lion's belly, and another lion had his paw resting over Kevin. It's obvious they are all comfortable together.

I rewatched this video and Meg was content throughout each topic, even as a male lion was roaring, even as Ami came over and got love from Kevin which she'd usually break up, she was content when he played with different tones to say her name, she responded with head rub, even as he spoke about Hyenas she was falling into a nod, it was not until he got to that man that was rude and made Kevin feel uncomfortable the deeper he got into that experience his emotions fluctuated and she did NOT like that you felt bad...yall this is amazing...beyond amazing 😇🙏🏾❤️🦁

I looked back at that video to just leave an comment that is probably not going to be that enlightening, but still : spending time with animals with the right mind set will teach you certain kind of insight that can indeed be transferred into human interactions. Patience, non-judgemental observation and your own honesty are things that can never get you wrong in both human-human or human-animal interactions. I'm happy to be reminded of this and I really wish I had time in my life to get a pet of any sort to establish that sort of meaningful interactions with an animal.
