"So you would break up a family because of getting cheated on" is the wildest form of victim blaming. Like, no, the one who cheats is the one who breaks the vow they made to their spouse in order to get married in the first place. The one who cheats is the one who breaks up the family from the inside.

I don’t think that the woman in the red sparkling dress has thought through her point about “breaking up the family over a one time indiscretion.” Perhaps she’s had her ex partners use this excuse on her in the past. In any event it comes across as victim blaming. I see it as a form of compartmentalization of infidelity used to give the cheater(s) a free pass. Nobody is perfect. She has some room for growth in my opinion.

Janelle is so sex obsessed holy… she treats sex so casually and expects other people to have that same worldview inherently for some reason. Like to argue that a relationship can be maintained following a partner cheating on them because it’s just “giving in to the cardinal flesh” is wild. Cheating is more than just an act. For her argument to have any bearing in reality, then talking about problems in a relationship could not be a viable option before committing the act of cheating. There are more moral options that precede cheating.

I know its definately not a one to one comparison, but imagine your friend betrays a group you are all in, then rejoins. should you betray the entire group again just to show your "friend" what it feels like, then proceed to tell the group its the friends fault you betrayed a second time? I obviously disagree with that guy on some level though, there are many circumstances and sometimes one does have to break up with someone if they deem that the best case for everyone, sometimes you need to put your own needs first, etc. I just feel like some of the reasoning im seeing on how this works is a bit absurd to me personally, but maybe i just dont understand.

If you are are friends with somebody for 20 years and then fall in love, to me that is no proof that friendship between men and women is impossible. It is proof that it is possible, it worked for 20 years. It is proof as well that life is not static and we all constantly change. Another angle, how many friends stay friends for 20 years? Honestly don't understand why people think men and women can't just be friends. I have a lot of platonic friendships with girls. Do I find some attractive physically? Of course, but some people you just don't connect with on a romantic level and that's okay. Meanwhile I have my fair share of romantic relationships. I make it clear from the start that I have female friends. If she has an issue with that, that's her issue to resolve.

In every one of these it comes down to YOU: Ask yourself: Monogamy? Poly? cheating? worse things? and a bunch of other questions. Ppl need to ASK THEMSELVES and not get it from a partner or friends/family. Sit with the topics and think on them FOR YOU. Also it's ok to NOT be in a relationship but still do work in making yourself better for you and the next person you plan on being with. All of the best things in life take time and energy.

Men and women CAN be friends, doesn't mean that they will never be attracted to each other, but you can be friends and aware of attraction without wanting or needing to act on it. Jubilee, these videos have lowered in quality tremendously since this series (and others) have started. Cutting conversations (and even prompts) behind paywalls to make even more money? When did you become a corporation? Please release series like Spectrum and Middle Ground with the conversations that these people have, regardless of how it makes them look. We watch these videos to understand more about humans and their thought processes, we need the whole story. Please consider.

Men and women can totally just be friends. Theres so many types of love, attraction, relationships, and sexualities that make this possible, so this question feels weirdly generalizing. I have the capacity to be romantically attracted to men and women, does that mean Im attracted to all men and women? No, of course not. I have a best friend who Ive known for years and get along with great, and I love her so much, but not in a romantic sense. And Im sure this is a possibility for others as well. Also loved how polite Frank and Asher were while voicing their opinions and beliefs. Very respectful, they were my favorites. Seem like chill dudes.

@@zandikhetwayo7444I've been abused and cheated on, and for me personally, being cheated on was worse. When dating my now husband, it took a longgg time to truly trust his faithfulness, whereas the trauma from being abused healed much faster because of his kindness and gentle nature. I more easily trusted that he would not abuse me, but I really struggled with trusting that he would remain faithful. That showed me which scars were deeper. That's just me though.
