When i came out of military service (10 years, deployments in cosovo and afghanistan) and went to therapists because i struggled with the thought of being emotionally detached (i lost half my squad and never cried once). This is what young men are taught to believe. I’m 65 and some of my best friends growing up were girls and women. Problem is young men and women are being brainwashed by social media. My sis worked at a local bar which was frequented mostly by mid age men, not once did she ever hear any of them bad mouth their wives or girlfriends but when she hangs around with her girlfriends they're not short on words about their men. You speak the truth IMO because of my own personal experience with therapists. My first three were not terrible like egotistical woman, but over seven years with them, I was getting nowhere emotionally. Then, through what I consider a remarkable series of events, I got the most wonderful therapist. For the first time, after almost eight years of therapy with three therapists, I feel like I'm finally getting the therapy that I need. The difference between my previous therapists and my current therapist is like night and day. Thank God for the therapy that I'm now receiving.
