Lovely memories. The only thing that always strike me as odd is why hire a chopper from Kisumo to Mombasa, then go public from Kisumo to Suna. But Okoyo is my hero here.

It wasn't a chopper. The choppers that were available for commercial use in the market in 1980s couldn't contain a full band and instruments. This was likely a small-size charter like those operated from Wilson, akin to the AirKenya fixed-wing planes. There was no airport where a fixed-wing plane could land in the area, except Kisumu.

Correct title for this song is Borderline, not sure which LP has it as Safari ya Mombasa. The Melodica pressing has it as Borderline.
