In my experience, which is limited to occasional use for 2-3 days, Modafinil gives a significant boost to motivation, intelligence, and output, but also provokes the arrogance of cocaine, the disinterest of alcohol, and the anxiety of amphetamines. Some of my friends claim there were no beneficial, or adverse, effects, so it seems to vary widely from brain to brain. I understand the desire the give ourselves a cognitive edge, and I don't look down on people who rely on these drugs, however I personally don't want to attribute my success to the powder I snort or the pills I swallow.

Using online brain-games to measure the effectiveness of nootropics is unscientific. It's a joke. I'm not saying there aren't benefits, I take a few myself. Curcumin, L-theanine, Green Tea Catechins and others. I'm saying that this whole video feels like an advertisement for 'Novosad' and it's bordering on unethical that you would use e-sports teams to advertise your product when the primary audience is teens-mid 20's. Not all nootropics are safe, even if most people get away with minimal side effects. Nootropics as gatorade? Bluntly dishonest comparison.

Indeed, nefiracetam has some rather scary metabolites that exhibit renal toxicity... I've personally dealt with this myself. I do consider some of the more common racetams to be very effective and safe, but there are definitely some risks involved. Moreover though, I've found most of these "stacks" like Alpha Brain and OptiMind to be inferior to just buying the powders, a milligram scale, capsules, and mixing it yourself. It's less convenient, but generally the product is purer and of higher quality, and you can get things which actually WORK like racetams instead of Alpha-GPC and L-theanine by themselves. Those things can boost or attenuate other drugs, but they don't really work as nootropics on their own. I'm also not inclined to consider modafinil a nootropic either, I guess I'm pretty partial to racetams & noopept. I'm not surprised though that the corporate culture is more interested in pushing their snake oil than actually marketing racetams, since racetams aren't found in nature and can't be legally marketed as dietary supplements. It's just a legal grey area that most "big brand" types don't even want to bother with, but perhaps that's for the best.

+Kirsten Durst when I say change your diet I mean eat a balanced diet with meats, fish, veg, fruit whatever. These pills aren't cheap and the absorption rate of micronutrients isn't guaranteed. If you want to get an edge from a cognitive standpoint, stay hydrated, well rested, excercise regularly. If you want a pill then the things that work are drugs like cocaine, amphetamine-like drugs such as adderall, or modafinil. Basically food > food supplements. And drugs > "nootropics".

Hey what the hell? You can't just take the same dose of caffeine each day because of the rising tolerance. After a week doing this dose become pointless. There's actually a more effective way to wake you up than coffeine right now which has no tolerance and overdosing issues. It's called Theacrine.
