Thank you so much for making such a great video. it has given me a lot of hope and motivation to carry on in my preparation to apply to dental school. I am so happy that i came across this video, I have been through such hard time with school, and my gpa is terrible at the moment for so many reasons, I always feel like i shouldnt be applying to dental school cuz i am not worthy, but having to watch this amazing video with great information and advice and most importantly the realistic aspect of your advices. so many people have a 4.0 gpa or a bit less, and they talk about how hard it is to apply to dental school which makes me feel so down. Anyway i wish you all luck, and i will be watching more of your great videos.

Thank you for being so honest and thank you for being so willing to help us out with any questions and such. This is exactly what people that are interested in the dentistry field but have no one to guide them need. Very informative video thanks again.

Thank you for being honest and provided your score and GPA. A lot of people give advised but hide that information which we all itch to know to see where we stand ourselves.

I love that more and more low stats don’t define you. Im not a conventional candidate, my GPA is low(working on it) but I have a ton of experience in the dental field. And you give me a lot of motivation to keep going

Great video. Very informational. I'm an aspiring dentist currently still in my undergrad at CSU Long Beach. I've been through some highs and lows with school but I finally have my eyes set on being a dentist. You have given me hope because I'm currently on the lower end of the gpa spectrum but still competitive enough to hopefully get into a dental school. I feel I have a chance and you are proof of that. Thanks for the great video. Keep up the great work. Congrats on getting into dental school and I look forward to following your journey.

thank you for your honesty about your stats! it can be intimidating seeing mostly videos about those who had top scores... of course they are of value but to have a balance and better look at dental students and their stats is reassuring

Hey does anyone have an opinion on committee letters vs. individual letters? When applying you have the option of one letter from a dentist, and then either 3 individual letters or one committee letter. Which do you think is better?

Hey Jordan! thank you for sharing your experience. I have a question about not letting stats let you down. So I am from Canada and I have a cgpa about 3.41 and 22AA I have shadowing and volunteering experience. Do you think I would have a chance at UPenn where the average cgpa they accept is around 3.7 ?

hi! new to the channel! congratulations on all your hard work! a few questions, if you wouldn’t mind answering for me! what are the requirements/price prior to taking the DAT? can you repeat the DAT/if so how many times? what’s the cost of the DAT? as far as dental school goes, what are the hours you attend/days of the week? i’m currently a rad tech but wanting to change my career path, curious if i would be able to work part time/prn while in DDS school. thank you!

Such a coincidence, I just received an interview to UNLV and I saw your post on SDN about how stressing out about the formula is ridiculous and I couldn't agree more. It made absolutely no sense if they'd bring people on their campus with lower stats to interview to end up rejecting them just because they did not meet a certain threshold.

Is it legal for a school to require a letter from a “spiritual advisor”? I’m an atheist and sure AF don’t have a “spiritual advisor” and think it’s kind’ve bullshit to require that.

Jordan Barnett No I’m a sophomore in high school interested in becoming a dentist. Just seems tough, I’d go in debt and would start working as a dentist till I’m 25/26 I assume.

Jordan Barnett Thanks for the advice! However I live in Kansas and the only in state dental school is UMKC which gives Kansas residents a “resident price”. I don’t know if it’s possible for me to go out of state.
