I’m a Kamala supporter. I gave her a few donations in 2020 and 2024. During her brief campaign, I became tired of the content repetition. I felt like every time she spoke, she said the same thing. We need to push truth-hard truths-inform and educate. Our Democratic leaders need to tell people exactly how policies and promises will work in the near future. But NOW?! Right now we need strong voices and action to foster a successful resistance in order to protect human rights and continue pursuing equality & justice for all. I’ve never been more disrupted, disappointed and disheartened. I’ve never felt more eager to throw myself in front of the Red Army trying to capture undocumented farmworkers or women seeking reproductive health care. This election was a bunch of bullshit and brainwashing. And yes, half of this country is (was) not smart enough to decipher fact from fantasy. Ronald Reagan's trickle down economics is a bunch of BS. Today's situation goes back to at least his presidency. I remember reading an article by Jeremy Rifkin, the economic and social theorist. If I remember correctly, because this was 30 or 40 years ago, he said that the result of trickle down economics would either be personal and social self-realisation or social dissolution and anarchy. Looks like we've taken the latter path....

Yep. This. I donated a LOT over the past 10 years to democratic politics only to watch my senator sponsor a "police appreciation week" bill while the George Floyd protests were at their height. Democrat politicians DO NOT GET IT and at this point I don't know if they ever will. In my state, the democratic party campaigned heavily against (and ultimately killed) a ranked choice vote amendment. How very "Democratic" of them. /s The dems keep catering to the billionaires because they don't understand that WE DON'T NEED THEM! This election the democrat party got MORE MONEY from small donors (people earning less than $400k/year) than billionaires for the first time ever. And they STILL IGNORED US! I flipped to NPP in my state. That's the first time I have been not party affiliated in 2 decades. Sorry, but the dem party can get stuffed as far as I'm concerned. I'll still probably vote blue down the ballot because they're less bad, but we can't win elections with "well the other guy is crazy" anymore. I'd highly suggest anyone in an oppressed minority group look into arming themselves, securing their home, and building a local community. Things are going to get rough. I may be tired and depressed and feeling like it's the end of the world but I'm also a stubborn lady that will not lay down and just let them hurt me and everyone I love and care about. It's annoying but you know it's true, we can't give up. We can't give in. You see all the movements that happened in history, imagine how tired they were feeling, I know they had their moments of feeling hopeless. Guess what, despite that, they kept going because they knew that if they gave up now, nothing will change. Good changes don't happen when you're sitting around, good changes happen when you get up and do something. So please for the love of god and all things holy, DO NOT GIVE UP. DO NOT OBEY IN ADVANCE.

Please serve up lots of specific action steps. Also, we need some media to counter the "government sucks" narrative, by spelling out all the ways people benefit from government in more detail, because people really don't have a realistic idea of what to expect. They get frustrated and vote in anger. We need stories that spell out what government workers do. We need to know all the things taxes pay for that we may not even be aware of. If we see the value, we have to celebrate all that government does to improve our lives.
