I bought the original very early December and it broke after 4 weeks, engineer came out and couldn’t fix it and so they replaced it with a brand new one, that was early January. It is now 9 weeks later and this different machine has done exactly the same and stopped working!

We have a normal Beko tumble dryer works fine, we did look at heat pump ones but was advised against as they need perfect working conditions - warm room and space around them

That's shocking 😲 my parents 2010 beko condenser dryer is still going strong and it'll be 11 years old this year. The more modern ones mustn't have the same quality or reliability as the older one's. I think that's the trouble sometimes when they put computers/WiFi etc.. on appliances, it's just another thing to go wrong and reduce reliability greatly👌 Hope you get sorted Dorian 🤞

The non hybrid ones are fine and I would recommend them, but this with the hybrid is to avoid, the only other brand I’d recommend is a Bosch 🤗

Hi, I’ve left this video on to make people aware of what happened to me, it’s just made me very nervous and I only use it when I’m in the room or nearby, I know that extreme, but I’ve just lost my faith in it, having once lost everything in a house fire at 6 years old, it just makes you a bit more careful, other models haven’t had the same issue as me and have been fine. Since the last repair it’s been working normal, I just wait to see what the future holds on it.

Hi. Do you much about Siemens Avantgarde heat pump tumble dryers. I have had mine for a bit, but, the water doesn’t seem to collect in the top water draw, but collects at the bottom where the 2 filters are. I have to use a wet and dry vac to suck out water every time I use the dryer. I know it has a self cleaning condenser, but I feel sure water shouldn’t collect at the water filter and no water in the top water container. I’m seriously think of calling Siemens out to have a look at it. Warm regards, Paul

I had Beko washing machine that Kemp broke down so I replaced with my current Bosch what I had no problem till few days when pump has gone on it so that be replaced with a hoover h wash 500 11kg what is coming on Monday

Nah, I know you well enough mate, I agree, I wanted to give them a go as my fridge freezer has been fantastic and some of the washers have had great reviews, I bet a lower spec one would be fine, it’s like giving an Austin Allegro to Vanderbilt Plas, you can stick as much wood and leather on it, but underneath it’s still a British Leland rust box 🤣🤣

Wow. I'm so sorry about this. Beko dryers are considered the best low/middle range dryers in most of Europe. Maybe it's just this model that has problems. I really hope they can fix it. It should be under the warranty I think

That’s OK mate, I’m positive it is just this model as the engineer said something interesting about the hybrid heat created can affect the boards as they are not meant to get that hot and can cause PCB failure.

I've been using beko heat pump dryer(not hybrid model) for 6 years, and now, it's not heat enough. within this pandemic, the repair man very unlikely to come. trying to look on youtube for DIY, it's very complicated. Never a good idea to go for the cheapest brands. If budget is an issue you're much better off with a low feature basic machine from a better brand than something with more programmes than you'll ever need from a purveyor of disposable tat like beko, candy, indesit etc.

@spencerwilton I disagree with the buy cheep buy twice I had a white knight cheep standard condensing dryer it lasted nearly 12 years then the drum went. My sister also had one but the vented version for 14 years! Hers blew up after all that time. I think it’s just luck nothing to do with who makes it! I did have a Montpellier dishwasher till a couple of months ago that was only 2 years and 3 weeks old it died of motor failure even though it was only on 2 to 3 times a week at the most! I couldn’t get them or anyone else to fix it so it’s gone! It’s been replaced by a Bosch my old washing machine was a Miele stainless steel one spider on drum went at ten years old! (Supposed to last 20 years) this was replaced by a lg direct drive witch is great 👍🏻 And my old dryer has been replaced with a standard beko condensing dryer which is much better than the last one. I like it and it was less than 200 quid. Not sure about these models featured in the video but my one and the two we have in work for the army are great. More expensive isn’t always better… facts ‼️💯

You'd be better off putting a condensor dryer on low heat. It's basically the same thing. 3 plus hours of your clothes rubbing together in a dryer isn't good

I know what you mean, I really wanted to try a Hybrid machine to sometimes have vented speed at a lower cost to use and that feature is amazing. But it’s been a few months now and the new PCB seems to be working, I do use the dryer less in the summer, so winter will be the big test.

best to not buy beko at all i own a beko wue8736xn which DRIPS near the filter area WITH THE FILTER COMPLETELY CLOSED, bangs on normal cycle extremely easy, annoying programming (going up to 3 hours with a half load sometimes!), horrible homewhiz (doing a light show) and lastly and the worst is the quality it is the worst washer i ever owned randomly cracked the pcb casing JUST from an unbalanced spin

and forgot to mention again xD if the drum light gets wet, it gets very glitchy, very dim or sometimes not working at all. the solution is to move the drum forcefully side to side which brings me to another point the shocks are horrible they are far too strong and due to the cabinet being far too slim you are unable to test the dhock absorbers which brings me to the 3rd point already xD if i move the drum side to side, i get it to bang (8kg washer) on my electrolux timemanager (7kg) i can move the drum so much and doesn’t bang and this brings me to the 4th point already lmao the beko jumps so easily (with some damp things on one side) and my electrolux had DRIPPING WET sheets on one side and guess what it did? it just WIGGLED a bit! and my last point is the waterlevels they are so bad (either too much, either too little (sometimes uses NO water on a HALF load)) meanwhile my electrolux washed a duvet with the CORRECT amount of water so yeah better of with electrolux/zanussi (anything from aeg/zanussi/electrolux group) than with a beko

My sister got a Samsung A tumble dryer and fall in love with it. She was earlier an LG 14-year-old tumble dryer. I like the wool program in in fact because it runs clothes around the edges of the drum.

I have the same model utter rubbish had it 6 months and the stank smell of damp within the machine is disgusting its thoroughly cleaned and dried after every use ,used for two loads weekly as retired couple have had engineer out cant source a problem although admits the smell is bad now having another engineer out and being told if he finds nothing wrong i will be charged call out the machine is not fit for purpose and yet getting threatened by Beko they wont replace it if engineer doesnt say it cant be fixed as far as im concerned its a £500 pig in a poke and wouldnt recommend beko to anyone unhelpfull cheeky arrogant staff

Absolutely 100% generalising here, but, please read the whole message first 🤣. As you’re American yes, it will frustrate the absolute heck outta ya. They are much slower than vented and even condenser dryers, so yes, they are far more gentler on clothing and I can literally dry anything and it won’t shrink or burn and you simply can’t over dry anything. But it takes so much longer to dry, so the motor is on for much longer, so the saving is debatable. I love them because of the clothes coming out very much unharmed and gentle, but then again most vented dryers have multiple settings for all fabrics, so the choice they say my friend is yours 😢

It's seems that models like the Whirlpool WED90HEDW and what looks like the newer WHD560CHW seem to have their condenser coils fill with dust and there are videos of people spending hours completely disassembling the units just get to a point where they can lightly pressure wash the fins clean. I'm not lazy but buying one would seem foolish if such an endeavor is needed on a regular basis. The Whirlpool units are 7.4 cubic feet which is certainly big enough for most loads. On the other hand I see the smaller LG DLHC1455W that advertise a "self cleaning" feature which makes me wonder if that makes them significantly easier to maintain, however those are of course closer to 4.2 cubic feet. If the dryer takes 2x as long to dry that's fine, but if I have to spend 5 hours disassembling the unit every other year wouldn't I need to be a bit of a masochist to buy one?

I paid 800 GBP on my Bosch self cleaning condenser dryer. It lasted 3 years. I gave it to Chris from the channel “The Laundry Centre” When he opened it up it was absolutely full of fluff, to be absolutely honest from asking appliance engineers, all dryers do the same, vented, gas, condenser, any. They all collect cuff inside unfortunately, my old condenser machine that I could remove the metal fins, I’d do it monthly with a hose in the garden or in winter in the bath, not ideal, but I didn’t have any issues, but fluff still built up all inside the machine. It’s inevitable 😢

Don't be fooled into thinking Miele are that good. Washing machines yes (in my experience), fridge freezers no. I have had very bad experiences with 2 Miele fridge freezers. 3rd one is holding up so far. AEG is just Electrolux. My AEG gas hob/electric oven broke down after 18 months due to heating element failure.

The three engineers said that the board can't hope with the hybrid heat, the extra heat affects the board.
