Savinder Puri Thanks for sharing insights. I saw people go after heavy tools in DevOps and Cloud and forget to learn the fundamentals. As you said in your video I advice everyone to do the fundamental as that's the starting point . Since I was learning basics from the beginning of my career by learning Unix Linux, Writing shell scripting, learning networking basic apart from my regular night job. I choose DevOps and Cloud. So actually if your basics are strong you can learn any tool in DevOps. One more thing practice is very important, Identify your end to end use case and build it and publish it in public.

By far, one of the best videos. I'm transitioning careers From non IT background n initially everyone said DEVOPS is very easy, coding not required. I did a course n it was just horrible. We basically learnt nothing. I spent hours on youtube trying to learn. I spent my time feeling frustrated, anxious, depressed n cried. I hired someone to privately teach me n he knew nothing even though he said he was sr dev ops engineer. I lost hope again n felt useless. like as if im dumb n can't pick up the programming skills. I wanted to move to a technical role more for job security. One thing I can say the courses advertised are just 3 months n very basic. You have to put in blood n sweat trying to troubleshoot without anyone to help you. I'm depressed now n wondering what to do next. 😢

Ek compiled language aani chhaiye - Java, .Net etc etc. Full stack ki zarurat nahin.SDLC ks solid understanding important hai - if you've been a dev, that will automatically come. DevOps main bhi coding hai - you gotta write all types of scripts etc. Don't join devops to run away from coding

sir I have a question .. i currently am a fresher with some software projects n all but want to get into DeVops but whenever I scroll through LinkedIn indeed or any other job portal every DevOps role tells u need 3 -5 years experience and all and internships as well as for some experience I want to get into DevOps and build my career in it .. i want to make DevOps and cloud projects and get a good job in this field but then the experience thing is an issue and idk if it's good to start learning DevOps rn or find a s/w job then gradually move into DevOps

Yes, why not? It’s a good combination that gives you an edge over regular web devs. However, be an awesome web dev first, before you start exploring.

I am a bit confused ki hashnode par kya article dalun, i do webdev thesedays and a bit of python code review etc.... kabhi kabhi ek devops ka practical kar liya, twitter pe tweet ta rhta hu.... M confused ki hashnode par articles kis bare mein dalun? Kuchh bhi chalega kya ? As long as it is related to programming and infra? This is really holding me back because people say ki 'if I look at your blog I should know that you are a specialist within 1 second', bhai naya naya banda kaise specialist hoga? Plus apni image banane ke liye main sirf devops ke bare mein to nahi dalunga na apne blog pe. Main react bhi dalunga, main networks bhi dalunga main devops bhi dalunga .... Blogs is best done when you're learning something. Whatever you've learnt in that week, make a summary of that. Also provide links from where you've learnt it - YT videos, articles, tweets etc. SO that when someone else who's trying to learn the same thing reads your blog, he/she gets help. That's why it's called "learning in public". Mastery in public comes at a later stage, when you are really a master of a subject and can give opinions about things. Don't worry about that for now. Hope this makes sense.
