This is one of the best road map video for devops, I have seen other devops road map videos but this one makes you feel like you are a devops engineer rather than learning devops because in this road map, mostly you are practising and not vice versa. Thank you so much for giving the complete step by step guide. Could you please suggest which configuration laptop should I be using for practising devops on my local. This video is fantastic for anyone interested in DevOps. This video clearly explains how you cannot learn DevOps in four months or six months. Regardless of whether you have experience with other technologies, you have to spend 10 months to a year learning DevOps minimum. Otherwise, if you work in DevOps and learned it in 4/6 months, you don't even sleep properly because of the issues you face at work. It's great to see a video explaining proper guidance for DevOps learners like this one created by Savinder Ji, much appreciated,,

@@savinderpuriJi, Personally, I think this video would be beneficial to anyone considering a career in DevOps.The road map presented here is helpful. DevOps several videos are available on KZbin for learning in 60 or 90 days, but I don't recommend them. Those videos describe DevOps only for an idea, but they cannot be used as a basis for work. It is essential to practice well at least at an intermediate level to be able to work in a live environment, That is only your video would tell...

I saw some of your videos including this awesome video and liked them a lot. Now a small intro of myself. I am a self taught programmer with experience in JS and Python and a 18+ years experience of using Linux. My current role is of Senior Fullstack engineer. I started doing devops related tasks in my company since 2 to 3 years ago because of my experience with Linux. Now I am thinking of getting some professional certifications from the big guns of cloud like GCP, AWS and Azure and also CKA. My question is that is it the right time for me to pursue all of these certifications or should I focus on learning a bit more and then go for these certificates one by one. Also if you think it is the right time for me then which one should I try to get first. AWS is the one that I am most familiar with ATM but I am already enrolled in the Google certification challenge and will be getting a free voucher from them shortly for the PCA (professional cloud architect) exam. Currently the most challenging thing for me is to manage time for family, work and learning.
@savinderpuri

what cloud is your organisation working on? Do certification in that - so that it's easier to show your work in that area. I agree - managing time is not easy. However, if you explain to your wife and kids on what you're trying to do with the upskill etc., i'm sure they will understand. It's not perfect, buy you got to do what you got to do mate.

Sir you told a framework called KSM? In what particular order should a person who have 1 year of experience as software engineer follow? I mean should he be the master of 1,2 things first? then, he should go for the skill and knowledge? I want to ask what should be the order to follow this framework?

@savinderpuri

Python is great for "doing" stuff. Java/.Net etc is required to "understand" development. They serve different needs. If you already have some programming experience, then stick with py. Else, feel the pain of dev and learn Java.
