Whenever I list a cartridge game, I'll take a picture of the board too in addition to testing the game. Shows the authenticity of the game too. Probably not a big deal for the cheaper titles but I think its a must for the more expensive ones.

You also have to be careful that the buyer does not switch them or say the game did not work. This has happened to me twice and I actually test all of the games.

Back in the 1980's you could open NES games with a screwdriver. We would buy games from Kmart swap the boards and return them. One day I swapped the board and went to return it and the lady said we can no longer return games if they're open. It was a big problem everybody was doing it. They literally passed a law that we could no longer return open games.

I'm trying to think, we have a wii, snes, nes, n64, genesis, ps3 backwards compatible, xbox 360, and our personal ps4, xbox one and series x, as well as a switch. We test things we feel need tested. Often times on disc based games we make judgement calls based on the quality of the disc.

Sorry I missed this comment. This does happen sometimes and you do end up needing to change them out. On cartidge games with save functions I'm making it more of a priority to test that functionality out before listing the game.

Because brand new that’s 300 or 600 depending if the lecture is on dvd is the 24 half hour lectures. I can’t even understand why the comps are so low.
