It's Sunday, it's the week before Christmas and I'm in the UK. I have Netflix, Prime video, Paramount+ and the terrestrial channels.... But I'm sat watching Bruce defeat this channel drain on the other side of the planet..... GOOD ON YA BRUCE.

It amazes me that nobody maintains these grease traps. There's no way they get that built up overnight. But you did a right perfect job getting them clean. And so far you're the only one I've seen in Australia that disinfects after they're done.

Normally a contractor would have a three or six month deep clean contract to come along and do that under the city’s restaurant health regulations, - but maybe it had expired previously..

Watching you with that trowel cleaning off the gunk is link being at the dentist when they scrap your teeth for calculus buildup. It is so satisfying seeing you do that!! The video for youtube can be sent to the client to show what you did for them as an extra information item for your final bill. The way you have edited these videos we have no idea whom these clients are - but they certainly have not kept up with regular preventative care.

You need to make a cutting tool that is manufactured to the same size as the inside of the channel drain so you can just walk along and scrape it clean in one go

Recently I was in Las Angeles California. While I was there they had two days of historical rain fall. There were a lot of street drains that were clogged and causing flooding. I wish you were in queensland. You would be my plumber. I have had one plumber come and put the pigs tail down and said we have rooted and that we would need him back in 12 months this. We got another plumber to put hot tap to laundry and a filtered water system to our kitchen. He connected the hot tap to the cold water and it took us 1 week to get him back to fix his mistake. We found out yesterday, he did not connect the guilted water, he only put in the filters. He told us he connected it to our normal tape.

I have never sent oil down the drains. I save it up bit by bit in the refrigerator then whenI get enough I make soap with it. Water, crystalized lye, and some fat, melted and sieved and you're off . . . great stuff for just about anything.

Hey Bruce, this is John Smith from the other retirement state outside of Sandgroper, Australia of Florida in the US. Anyway, I was speaking to Bruce the other day, he told me that Bruce and Bruce were arguing over the origins of common names and were having difficulty with the origin of the popularity of “Sandgroper”. Bruce disagreed with this analysis and suggested that Bruce’s father, Bruce, and his grandfather Brwce (who immigrated from Europe at a young age), had instigated a grassroots campaign to popularize the name for children among the people in "Town". So I think it’s fair to say no one quite knows. Except maybe for that "Drain Cleaning AUSTRALIA" Dave down the road. He knows everything - I might have to ask him....Great video, mate, all good! By the way, I'm all good about your rambling in your videos.

Although you cant put it into general waste, you can still bucket the larger pieces get the drain cleared, then deal with the larger pieces latter, and break them down so they can go down the drain. That should stop the constant clogging and the need for so many jiggles. It also means you are there to clear / jiggle / jet as needed as soon as it is needed. Just a suggestion if you come across another drain like that, defiantly chokkas that's for sure. Glad you and others are on the job.

So have a set of roof scrapers that i have modified to common widths and shapes of channel drains for scrapping clear. In western PA its typically mud and leaf decay in front of garage doors that i come across. I find it more efficient that hand troweling out muck. Just another tool for your arsenal.

Also - it wouldn’t be as much fun to watch but for your sake I wished you could have scraped most of the glop out into a bucket - and then just dump it into the trap to get pumped out tomorrow!
