@@iNFECTED_pIE San Gabriel resident checking in (where Panda Express corporate is located) Panda Express isn't really Americanized as there are a handful of family owned restaurants that hail from mainland China and more or less they have the same dishes. You'll see dishes such as lobster with sticky rice or salty chicken which you would never see at Panda express, but dishes such as Eggplant tofu is very common here and more or less tastes the same or sometimes even worse than Panda Express ( depending where you go). Just wanted to clear that up, since I keep seeing this misconception.

You answered my question at 21:30 ! It was the SoloHorHey one. Normally, people get so many questions that mine tend to get overlooked. I got the chance to visit Tokyo for a few nights. The public restroom hygiene is otherworldly, the courteous nature and politeness of everyone I encountered were amazing, how curious and genuine locals were at the tourist trap bars (Golden Gai. I wanna go back with friends!) The most unusual thing was how here in America, I feel like most strangers like to make eye contact and give you that weak greeting of a smile. No one even looked at me as I walked the streets. Also also, years ago I applied to work at SourceFed! It was probably when around when its popularity exploded with the original hosts. I didn't even get an interview. lol I work in reality TV and still would like to work with someone that puts out a large amount of content on KZbin.

I live in one state and my family lives in another one. I know what you mean about “What makes somewhere home?” I find that I call both places home. Like I was talking to someone at work today about “going home in September” but when I am visiting them I talk about “flying home” when coming back here. My family is home but I feel so much more comfortable here as far as culture and climate and such. So both.

Regarding learning Japanese/tips for learning Japanese, have you played a game called Learn Japanese to Survive - Hiragana Battle on Steam? Judging from the name and description, the only thing it (potentially) teaches you is hiragana. Considering you can teach yourself hiragana and katakana in maybe a few hours by printing out an A4 paper with a table of them, buying the game is a waste of both time and money. Also, even when you do learn the kana, that's like 0.1% of the language. So yeah, if you're thinking about learning the language but didn't even get around to playing a game to learn that tiny aspect of it, can't say there's much hope...

Dear god, the paperwork drives me insane here! I'm allowed to work from home over summer vacation (3 weeks), and they want me to fill out a physical paper form for EACH DAY detailing what I did. Why can't it be a calendar in which I write the dates and what I did? Nope, separate piece of paper for each day. Immigration you have to take your documents in person, once to apply and once to pick up the new residence card (why not just send it by recorded post?) And don't even get me started on the paperwork for mine and my husband's marriage registration. My official document from the British Embassy was in both English and Japanese, but they wanted all of my English details transliterated into Japanese (address, parents' names etc) even though most city halls can and do use the alphabet for English proper nouns. My husband had to go through and write it all (by hand) on a separate piece of normal copying paper, which is also the most unofficial thing ever so why even require it in the first place? I can't wait to move back to the UK where we can do everything online, the sane way in 2020.

Yo... that pinball one is the one I recall the most, as well. Also the sorcerer one... where they pour chemicals in the pool at the end, to disrupt his plans.

You're so right with the point about the masks. It's hard to convince stubborn adults to educate themselves and make the right choices when they refuse to do so in the first place.

Hi Reina (did you know that means queen in spanish lol?), when do you think is the best time to visit Japan weather wise? I’d like to visit some day & I’m not sure if i should go during cherry blossom season in April or during the fall. Let’s hope we get a vaccine soon 😊

In Hokkaido, cherry blossom season is May. You can see beautiful view and have the best food in Japan.

31:35 The fact that love confessions are real seems crazy to me. Saying I like you/ I love you to a person before you ask them out, the social awkwardness would be turned up to 11.

You are my spirit animal. When I was in Japan I always missed Mexican food, hot cheetos (my parents would occasionally send them to me for Christmas), and bacon... also real cheese.

The Are You Afraid of the Dark? episode that scared me the most was (I think) called Dead Man’s Float. It was about a haunted school pool where kids were being drowned.

How far out in the country are you? I'm curious what the Japanese version of country living is like if you are still close to Mishima City.

Depending on your pikachu count, could do a 2 in one video and for each pika you share, you also share one thing you miss about the USA

OMG! I was happy when you replied to my comment last time and realized how much we have in common and we are close in age as well and thought maybe someday we can be friends. But after the Are You Afraid Of The Dark comments, I KNOW we would be good friends lol. I loved all the episodes you mentioned, but my absolute FAVORITE is the last one with the girl transported into the doll house. I literally had paused the video and was telling my roommate about my favorites as he came in to listen to what you were saying and I had said I loved that episode and the one of the skeleton in the pool, and then I hit play and lost my mind when you mentioned it haha. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembered and loved that episode! I must say though, I also read all the Goosebumps books lol. I didn't enjoy the show as much as most episodes came off really cheesy, unlike AYAOTD. Every time I think you can't get more awesome you prove me wrong lol. Also thanks for your content, it's definitely helped keep me sane through quarantine.
