@@GMODISM THIS IS THE TRUTH, They know in their hearts that this game is too good, just bought BF1 and played a bit of BF4 Recently they are really hailed as good games but i think honestly they suck compared to BF2 in many ways biggest difference i would say is definitly pace, so i gave Squad a try and that was so similar to Project Reality wich is a notch down on the pace. Havent come a cross a modern shooter yet who has the same pace as orginal BF2 do you have any tips?

... It's a brilliant game, I used to love 💕 it in the day !. Super cobras are a joy to fly,as are planes etc. and a commander role. It's indeed a thinking man's cod ( all those that played heroes and generals, will find it familiar!). 😎

I started recently. Bough Complete Edition with all Expansion Packs on DVD (because I started collecting older games on CD/DVD) for ca. 10€. Gunplay is little bit dated but its okay and not having destruction is werid but you can live without it. I like how commander mode is way different than in Battlefield 4 (its directly involved + the buildings you can destroy) and how you can set squad orders anywhere you want. Biggest shock for me was no red zone around enemy main base. 7/10 game in my opinion.

The no red zone over enemy main base was great, and I remember hating back when BF3 released and we could no longer invade the enemies main base to wreak havoc.

Funny because Battlefield 2 is more enjoyable than all the other new BF games. I remember playing this game for over 8 years. Funny because this is a very old game and its far more enjoyable than the new ones. I'll definitely join when I can. The newer games are nothing like the old and completely way off. Battlefield developers made the biggest mistake when they started trying to copy Call of Duty, other recent games and trying to make it futuristic.

some commanders really love to just spam. There is a way to lower the volume for the radio chatter in some CON files. There is a guide on youtube, just search Battlefield 2 sound settings: mute commander + radio voice spam

The ea servers are okay, but search for ranked or you will get many hackers, last i played there was only one ranked proper server to choose

came here after see Delta Force Hawk Ops gameplay from other people.... i HATE hero shooters... hands down best best bf2 in my opinion... i spent so much hours and entire summer just playing this with my friends... bf2142 was a 2nd for me.....
