I think one of the most important points you have missed is becoming a pilot is a lifestyle not a regular job. The job requires 100 percent of your situational awareness at weird times of day and night. Imagine waking up 3 AM and like you said having an emergency onboard at 5 AM and you have to make life death decisions. That’s the reason I feel pilots deserve this much salary and even more.

The question remains unanswered why pilots earn such high salaries. The Air Force fighter pilot who is the real hero of the skies takes more risks but earns far less. I have heard that in America pilots earn less than railway engine drivers. Plus the training costs are way too high for a middle class family

before earning 6 lacs a month you need to spend 1cr and atleast 2 years of uncertainty whether you will get job or not and whether you will successfully finish the training or not as the training is very hard especially if you do from countries like US or Canada, no scope of leniency as you are directly responsible for lives

@@elvispilot an average Emirates pilot earns around 10-15lac inr per month tax free. That is like pre captain. An Avg captain can earn around 15-25lac inr per month. (ofc salary depends on lots of factors, but it's about possiblity and lots of captains do get it) so it is true that Avg pilot of Emirates are earning around 10-25lac per month. (for a comparison Avg Indian pilot salary is ranging around 1-3lac per month after tax, again the salary depends on lots of factors)

Aditi Sharma - As a commerce student you must complete maths and physics from open school (NIOS), and then you are eligible to become a pilot. (If you took maths as an additional subject with commerce, then you only need to give physics from NIOS, but if you don't have maths then you must complete both maths and physics.)

Because it can mess with navigational equipment on board and sometimes it also creates a humming noice in pilots headsets, while this is not the case most of the time the main reason is safety, most of the incidents and accidents happen during take off and landing or any other critical phase of flight, so they want you to be ready for evacuation if needed.

Idk in india but clearing the 10 CPL exams is hectic cause you have a time limit from first pass and if you fail an exam twice you get 2 months banned and get banned again with every other attempt, and if you get less than 50% thats a 2 month ban as well, and the limit is 12 months if you don’t clear all exams after first pass, if such is the case all exam you did clear in 12 months gets lapsed and you have to start all over again

Well you have to show them that you’re serious about life before I started training my parents were also uncertain whether or not to spend such huge sum on an uncertain industry, and my behaviour till then was not helping them to go through with it, but I straightened my life and showed them that even if i can earn big money in other industries I wouldn’t be happy and my passion is flying even if i don’t earn good money here i will be happy, so brother my advice for you is to show your determination to your parents and no parent would want to make their child unhappy.

Its better to join a school in South Africa and then convert your license to DGCA. SACAA has better standards than DGCA and it’s cheaper and faster to complete you training here.
