when my parent learned that i might have allergies they did the same and my body became so sensitive. but then i fought them with exposing myself more to the allergens and some of my allergies are gone now 😬👌 don't try it tho.....

that's similar to people getting allergy shots via their doctor. So, that way you won't be as allergic to whatever it is or maybe eventually will go away. It's a lengthy process thoo, my doctor was like do it. I was like no lol, im just allergic to pollen it's fine haha.

im legit like Dianne, LEGIT. When I feel ill I have the worst headaches and sleep for like 10-12 hrs maybe wake up in the middle then go back to sleep. Except that one time i had like 3 days that were hella bad slept like 12 hrs every day. And also when im like super tired or stressed i might sleep like 4 hrs and wake up.

As a medical expert (jk, I'm only a 5th year student) I can says that having cold symptoms for a week is perfectly normal. Especially when you have evolution of the symptoms. First runny nose, which causes difficulty with breathing and sore throat, then coughing etc. For the placebo it's known that it's not only effective, but when patient knows which side effects can occur it's likely to them to develop it, even such severe as partial loss of hearing. Very interesting topic imo. It has some biological explanations, but it's too long to write.

@@lobnahanfy8645 You can just take something that makes you feel better like tea, ginger, garlic, lemon or something that it's considered as healthy, antibacterial, antiviral. Maybe it'll help you? The most important thing is that when you think positive it reduces your stress level and stress hormones, which leads to better immune response and producing some anti inflammatory factors. I took AP Psychology last year and before our AP tests began she said "There was this study done where participants knowingly had the placebo drug and still got better. With this in mind, I present these AP testing mint these mints have been in the classroom all year and have heard everything that I have taught and when you eat it it will give the knowledge needed. Put in under your pillow the night before the test and eat it before testing starts." We all ate the mints and it was around July when she emails us all and said that we all got 4s and 5s on our exams. So yeah as someone that got a 5 on her AP Psych Exam without studying, placebos work.

Diane and I have similar immune systems apparently because I also only have colds for like a day or two max. Like I feel absolutely horrid during that time period like I am dieing, but the next day, I will feel like nothing even happened. It's the most normal thing, and I thought everyone was like that until my friends told me otherwise. I also ONLY get sick on days when I have school or something to do. It's like it's timed. It's so weird. Edit: also, (sorry to whoever is reading this long essay), I am not very trusting as well. I trust no one. I am nice to everyone, I can tell people secrets, but it's like, they are not useful secrets. Like sure I trust my friends, but there are times when there are things you tell no one. And I MEAN no one. Its common knowledge or I might just be a very doubtful person. I am very untrusting, but others trust me WAAAAY too easily. It's because I comfort them about it or relate to them, then I forget what they told me the next minute. I have a super short memory. It sometimes amazes me how short my memory is. I remember nothing from before I was 8 years old. I remember major events in my life AFTER that age, but nothing else. I don't hold on to things I guess.

I can usually get thru a fever in a day and I get one maybe once a year. This year tho, conveniently the first time I’d been sick while at college having to care for myself, I had a fever for a solid 3 days and it was brutal the whole time. My heart rate nearly tripled and I couldn’t sleep for almost the whole time.

I use placebo on purpose all the time. If I even take an over the counter headache pill I tell myself "this will help" rather than "I hope this will help" or "This never works, this sucks" or "better than nothing". When my body screams at me "I can't do this" I tell my body "Yes I can, I can do this! I'm not tired, it's fine! I'm not tired, I'm alert and I have plenty of energy left" And it works every time. If I feel anxious I tell myself "I'm in safety, there's no danger here to be scared about" and if I take longer to fall asleep I no longer ever tell myself that I can't sleep, just that I will sleep or will fall asleep soon. The magic with it though is that you need to practice believing it because it's what you believe that becomes real. How deep does it go? I refused to accept that PTSD and fibromyalgia was something I'd have for life and because I refused to accept it as permanent I no longer have the conditions, and fibromyalgia I had for 17 years. Believing is a skill you must strengthen though, I had to train it to reach effective level. You can pretend that words are magic spells you cast so if you don't put power into the spell it won't work. When my friend was very sick from Covid and was at very serious chances of dying he told me he thought he wouldn't make it I worked super hard at keeping his mind focused on the future and all the things he wants to experience but out of the word choice "When I am recovered I will do these things" to keep the mindset strong that he will be okay. He thankfully beat it and is okay but if he had given up he definitely wouldn't have survived because he really stared mortality deeply in the eye. Develop grit, it might save you one day from just being too stubborn to roll over and give up. Willpower can be a superpower.

There are doctors who perform placebo surgeries on people and they recover just as well as those who actually go through the same type of surgery (w/o placebo ofc). The condition of your mind definitely affects your overall health. Keep that in mind during this time.. ;)

I dont know if I aint human but I have yet to experience flu or fever bad enough to keep me on my bed for a whole day, like I still go up and roam around the house like crazy. It is just vertigo that could literally make me sleep for more than 8 hours (due to medicines). My body automatically wakes up after 3 or 4 hours of straight sleep. Cant take more than 5 hours.

I'm the youngest of three, and my mom was really paranoid about my older sister being dirty or going outside, but ME, I went to the farm with my grandparents, I ate sand when I was little, I literally would eat random plants, and out of the three siblings, I'm the one with best immune system. But the immunity thing is so true... my dad grew up on a farm in Pakistan and his immune system is WACK. He rarely gets sick, and even if he does it lasts about a day or two only. When my parents moved to North America they kinda freaked out and had me and my sister really conscious of germs and also get a bunch of vaccines and what not. I’m 17 and still haven’t had chicken pox... dunno if that’s a good thing cuz apparently u can get shingles in old age that way. Tldr, rub dirt on your face kids.
