This is really great for coordination, and with such a familiar song I thought it would be easy. However I've found it surprisingly difficult to do and have spent quite a while practising and I can see the many benefits that will come from it. Thank you very much Dan.

I have been working on visualization of any dominant 7 chords’ inversions. This lesson should be helpful. Thanks Dan.

This is also nice for hand "independence" as well.

Great video, good ideas. Funny, I've been practicing like this recently with a Ragtime bass. Root, 3&5 together, 5th below, then 3&5 together. But I realize that I need to start singing, since I don't have any music in my head. Too many traumatic events in choir class as a young'en.

Can you have a tutorial for playing by ear or how to tune your ear to sound like the note
@danthecomposer3 жыл бұрын
I am not pitch perfect. I call that a 'party trick', to be able to name notes. After all, you can just sit at the piano and identify the notes if you're listening to a recording, right? As for singing in tune, I'm not a singer. I also have no tricks on how to train your ear to recognise note pitches; I guess it's just repetition and using some training apps. This is one of few topics I simply can't make a video about because I have nothing to say or teach on it. However, having an emotion connection with chord types is more my specialty and is easy to do, I just don't know what key the chord is in :) kzbin.info/www/bejne/hYOsfneKet6qZtU Best, Dan
