I really love this knife. Going to keep trying to get one. Maybe I'll be lucky this Friday

The FSD is my most-wanted knife right now. Craig is such an innovator and this knife really shows it. Also, am I the only one that thinks these FSDs are actually priced quite low for what you're getting?

high up on my list too! I think its correctly priced, in line with Oz, koenig, holt etc

Its fantastic. Just traded my 20CV one for a Rask. So they are valued well on secondary. This is my favorite knife right now

Oh wow cool features. I ve never seen this knife before. First I thought this was an average/standard knife but after seeing your dissasembly there is a lot going on inside. Very innovative this sort of button spring lock and these cool internal stop pins however they work😄

You are a wild man! You took a brand new perfect action knife apart to upgrade the bearings.

I'd say you were a madman to mess with perfection but we knew you were going to do it at some point lol. Definatly a kick ass knife and very interesting the way it's put together. Adjustable detent and lock is very cool. Thanks for the look see Kevin and keep making sharp things fun and enjoyable

Those adjustment features are nifty, would love to play around with those. Lefty, any idea if Skiff bearings can be put into a Steel Will Plague Doctor, which comes with bronze washers? Skiff's site lists the Cutjack, but not the Doctor. I've never used Skiff's but you seem to love them; any advice for me about how to fit them?
@LeftyEDC2 жыл бұрын
Ive never put bearings in a washer knife. I don’t think it will work. Cutjack is on bearings

@@LeftyEDC I don't know why I thought that would fly; bearings are probably quite thicker. I might try the thinnest closest set anyway just for Schlitz and giggles (I since have found how to measure them for sizing). Thanks, Lefty

Idk man. I recently started hunting higher-end stuff, and so far, my Holt Morpheus has ruined it all for me. It's too damn good. When I see some of the lack of finishing touches on a Skiff accomplice, or when I see you dealing with lock rock issues on this one... I hear alarm bells going off in my head and sprint in the other direction. For $800+ pretty much literally nothing is forgivable. If we were talking sub-$200, maybe... but on an $800 knife, I don't care if there is "only" a HAIR of lock rock. It's dead to me. That's wild. Even watching you have to play with the pivot... tighten an 8th... loosen an 8th... some blade play, no blade play, action too stiff... Again, I have no choice but to compare. Both my Holt Morpheus and my Koenig Arius do not have these issues. I'd say both of those knives can have the pivot tightened down 75% of the way, and at that point, there is NO blade play. Tightening anywhere between 75%-100% simply changes the action (more drop-shutty or tighter / more hydraulic). Having to deal with that weird pivot tightness area of +/- a small turn to either have blade play or the action you want just kind of gives me the ickies. I've got a Cortex arriving in a few days. I'm hoping it lives up to the hype. Sounds like it will, but some videos have me concerned.

I have the mini fsd and its the greatest knife of all time. So if u don’t want one, gives others a chance haha. The lockrock is not lockrock. I explain it in my later videos but its lockbar flex. Its sort if like a compression lock and the lockup is rock solid so it seems like rock but its not. Hard to explain but if u look at the mechanics u can see. And for the pivot he uses tighter spacing than anyone so u can get super precise with ur action. Never had an issue with blade play. The skiffs just take like 20 flicks to break in, then u can tighten it all the way down with 0 play and its a Guillotine. U couldn’t really ask for more than he gives on these FSDs to be honest.
