If you were 22, I could understand the hesitancy when it comes to locking a relationship in early. But at 40+, a man isn't looking for a "friend". I don't know what her exact wording was when she talked to this man, but I don't go on dates with my "friends". The guy wasn't asking you to marry him, he was asking for an exclusive relationship. So you would prefer to be in the streets instead of just dating one man? What are you losing by agreeing to this? She said the date went great...is it really desperate to want to seriously only date one person with those factors in mind? From what she said, she told him "She wants to take it slow and be friends". What 40+ man is dating for a friend? What is she missing by dating exclusively considering her factors? If it's a younger pair, I can understand. A few dates is more appropriate. But, if you're older, why spread your attention to a bunch of other people if you have someone in front of you that you're feeling? You keep shopping around for people and you'll wind up with nobody.
