Recently I went on a nostalgia drive by picking up my dusty old PS2 and playing my fav games, but this time I took my 9 year old cousin with me (who has never played any PS2 games). I remember playing the PROTECTOR OF EARTH with her and she enjoyed the game so much. And she was really looking forward to the sequel of the game. But then I booted up Ben 10 Alien force and on the 3rd stage she said she's completely bored and doesn't want to continue this game. That's how I know that alien force was a definite downgrade.

I preferred it over this one as a kid. ALTHOUGH I will never forgive the game Devs for the mission where you reunlock goop and have to rangle your way through a spike trap. Every other lever I completed properly. Just that one but I never cracked. Although not having master control kind of sucked. I did love everything else about it

I remember a glitch that randomly appears on the wii version, when you finish the underwater section with Jetray where the next scene after it is cover underwater, even though its shouldn't. While you can't proceed past that stage and have to reset it, it was fun to have that degree of freedom, 😂😂 swimming in what was meant to be the sky

subbing for that Vilgax Attacks video, thats the last one i played. a small note, Toxic Magazine, a British bimonthly magazine for boys with a page in each issue dedicated to cheat codes had an entry for this game on PSP, it had all the functional cheat codes but also claimed to have cheat codes to unlock Goop and Alien X. i was so mad when those two codes specifically were made up but the rest werent.

Surprised you never bashed on how the combo system was reduced significantly. Instead of up to 5 button combinations it's maxed at 3, instead of 3 special variants it's 2, jump attacks are all but gone, and each alien has maybe 2 combo routes each, Kevin and Gwen have even less moves. The spectacle of each combo finisher was clearly the focus but you'll eventually get tired of that ring of fire move. Not to mention you only get 2, 2-hit combos and a special to start with every alien.

It sucks that there really hasn't been AAA Ben 10 game to this day it has potential to be a success but I guess it depends on the studio that's making it and it doesn't really have to follow the exact same story from the OG series or what came after they can make an original story with the main cast going on an adventure across space explore different planets with new aliens and different cultures basically pull a starfield but make each planet feel like it's a living breathing world where whatever species from Ben's category of aliens that the developers choose are living on it and don't overdo it with the planets numbers as for what the main villain of the game could be I don't know maybe make vilgax the main villain again or if they want to go the omniverse route they can pick malware as a main villain he's another great villain that they could use there's also maltruant but then again that would involve time travelling shenanigans and he won't really be a good fit in a game like this either that or just make an entirely original main villain all together and since the gaming industry as a whole doesn't like being original I doubt they would even consider the idea of doing such a thing or make a new villain compelling and I know for a fact that we will never even get AAA game for the series but I am just blabbering with whatever stuff that comes to mind anyway and I all I can do is just hope for the inevitable to happen

Bro the story in this one makes more sense with its current series, in protector of earth it had vilgax teaming up with animo and ghost freak as if those two haven't completely outclassed him in instances and ghost freak dominated his entire home planet making it feel more forced for gameplay, at least with this one you get a variety of popular aliens with abilities displayed and a ton of actual acceptable to the cannon enemy team ups, like the hybreed where known to higher others to deal with "lower" life forms and make a grand plan for earth, vilgax tried to shove the whole planet into the null void (yes protector of earth was fun but this one feels coherent to the actual plot and story, you have moments to play with both kevin and gwens powers and even bonus areas and short cuts with jetray and spider monkey)

This game is a downgrade from Protector of Earth. I like the aliens chosen but they feel like there is little to no uniqueness in combat. Their puzzles sure varies but never a fan of the combat system. It's slow and unsatisfying unlike POE where it was fast paced enough and feel powerful whilekicking their asses. Even when I want to spam a special move or something, it doesn't feel satisfying and more mindless spam than anything. Gwen and Kevin's addtion are interesting but their execution was very poor and not fun to play. Their combat system is repetitve and their levels are much more difficult than what a man imagine from a Ben 10 game. Levels are very long, boring, repetitve, and the bosses in each level are mostly worse than even the worst bosses in POE. Overall, its not that great and easily the 2nd worst Ben 10 game. I hope you make a video about the other games because it feels rare to see people review and/or discuss those games nowadays.

i agree. I love Big Chill, but the combat is slow, short (a fewer combos), weak and unfun, simply awful. Each level seems to be much longer than in protector of earth, and with the boring moveset, it is a slower chore. Again, some Aliens that were supposed to be more stronger (Fourarms, humangosour), feel like the worst and weakest aliens

@@Eh......... exactly. When I spam Armageddon in POE, I felt powerful and the path to get it felt worth it in the end. When I spam Jetray's strong lasers, they sure kill most enemies but it doesn't feel or look satisfying enough. Definitely needed more care than what was given

More cartoony, fresh (though you can feel heat from scorching sun, not that it's a bad thing), and the movement was more fluid and fast than in Alien Force. okay my comparison is done lol this game sucks. for some weird reason i liked it as a kid. The moment I touched it again (few days ago), i straight up hated it

Has anyone played Ben 10 Vengeance of Vilgax from Play store? The cutscene dialogues takes place mid fight & you can only use 3 aliens with no explanation given. And Humongosar in that game sucks
