Alex (and, I think, his buddy Tim Key) devise the tasks. It's Alex's show. Greg Davies is actually the trained monkey. When I found that out, that Alex really runs everything, and that Greg laughs about how "into" the part he gets, I loved them both more.

I was expecting cut off limbs, murdered pets, burned down houses, and the like. Clearly none of the contestants have any imagination when it comes to coming up with "the worst possible thing". The only thing stopping outright murder, is that the task states the apology has to be given _to_ him, and not that you can do something _as_ apology (like, say, attend his funeral, maybe even chip in some money for it).

Look, you make a distraction bit ready, so the next thing really does look like a serious thing. So this is what you do: Come up to alex and start apologizing for a thing stupid enough to get him just a bit crossed and then you start acting like you are about to have a heart attack/ panic attack/ just whatever involves fainting or generally tends to make people worried about your safety, And at the end apologize and say that its for the show. And then you go on for tge rest of your life knowing you absolutely fucking crushed the task AND scared Alex shitless
