Noticed a bit of debate whether Katherine’s sister really was joking or not, so from what I’ve noticed: - Based off Katherine’s dad, he almost immediately knew Katherine was lying. It’s entirely plausible her sister also caught on and decided to counter screw with Katherine. - Katherine didn’t seem to suggest they weren’t together after the fact? Most people seem to think she’s trying to cover for herself here, but I don’t see any reason for her to lie? otherwise, if she did break up her sisters marriage, she definitely would’ve told Alex not to air that task. - her sister would’ve had to sign a release for Alex and the producers to air that phone call. I mean, admitting to cheating on TV is pretty damning if it were true. But seeing that it made it to the studio filming and to air, it looks like her sister went through with it, and let it air for some good Telly.

I did two minutes of Instagram research and the sister and her husband are still together. Whilst that doesn't rule out anything, it certainly points toward Katherine telling the truth, and her sister immediately knowing what was up and deciding to return fire.
