In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

She did a good job of capturing the theme of tetris, which is the same theme as other russian creative works, like crime and punishment. @TimoRutanen
@TimoRutanen 2 жыл бұрын
@@puckbryn3583 I am relatively sure someone suggested tetris and wouldn't you know, they already had the blocks hanging around. It does unwittingly capture the anxiety induced by Tetris even without very much (or indeed any) experience in it, but that's probably mostly Alex pushing the speed up.
@MegaVikingen
@MegaVikingen 2 жыл бұрын
@@TimoRutanen Well Greg said the blocks were made with bricks, and all the pieces except the T-block could be made by simply taping or glueing 2 bricks together. She could easily make those 20-30 blocks in an hour, especially if she had the crew help her once she told them her idea. Similarly to how I assume Rhod might have asked the crew to get the white suits, boxes and so on from the hardware store while he went on Twitter to recruit some invaders.

I loved Greg's choice in the scoring. The fact is, all of them did an amazing job, very inventive and took a lot of work, and they were enjoyable to watch. But it would have stunk to bail out and just give them all 5, first because it would make the round meaningless (no impact on the relative scores), and they weren't really all "equal" (I mean, Rhod's took a tremendous amount more coordination and organization, and Kerry, adorable as she was, couldn't handle Tetris... Tetris! Everyone's mom plays Tetris!). But Greg's solution was rather ingenious, because giving the middle two a tie meant that nobody had to be the "loser" (in the sense of getting just one point). That acknowledged that they all were worthy of merit, while still properly rewarding James and Rhod for the work and ingenuity that went into theirs. Kudos to that!
