I totally agree with you. I started out investing on my own too and lost quite a bit. After the 2020 crash, I managed to pull out about $160k. I then invested that money with an analyst, and in just seven months, I made almost $580,000. It's amazing how having the right guidance can turn things around!

Always be buying, unless the economy is in the largest bubble that is more decoupled from reality relative to the median income of any point in world history, then it's smarter to use your common sense and identify wildly overpriced assets, and do not buy. But to each his or her own. For 5 years inflation has devalued cash, but during recession, deflation and unemployment give buying power back to cash at an almost equivalent pace that cash lost value from 2020-2024. Holding nothing but cash personally, because homes, stocks, vehicles, and all other investments, assets and crypto will be 40-80% cheaper in a year or 2 max.

I think part of this is the balance between and happiness. I'd rather go on vacation then not and earn 40 dollars 🙄 the five books could be taken from rhe library so more practical advice for the MONEY ould be recommending get a certification people could take that would help increase salary in your field, for example a PMP. I like the way he breaks concepts down simply but his advice when it comes to practical application is just out of touch

side note, if you want to make money just put in 10k in savings a year and find close to a 5% return and dump 10k every year combined that with compound interest it will add up, but i dont have time and need cash now, sometimes you cant practice what you preach.

Reading is a skill. The more you do it the better you'll get at it. Treat it like going to the gym. Read a single paragraph everyday and increase from there maybe another paragraph or maybe finish that page. If you feel like continuing after your goal then do so, if you feel likebyou aren't focused then don't continue simple bro. Reading has many other benefits too aside from the education aspect
