Checklist: 1. What did my opponent's last move do? Do I need to react to it? 2. Are there any tactics I can exploit in the position? 3. How can I improve my position? What pieces are unhappy? 4. How will my opponent respond if I make my candidate move? (calculate a few moves to check) 5. Blunder checks: After my move, are my king and queen safe? Are my pieces hanging? What did I undefend with my move?

nice style, i like the checklist and the reasoning behind this order of checks. Ordering my thoughts has been an issue in chess games. Having a priority list like this helps a lot. The point of playing longer games to practice this is also well taken! some feedback: 1) You tend to repeat yourself quite a bit here. I think this video could have been half its length while containing the same information. Its appreciated if you present material efficiently. Its fine to summarize at the end , but repeating the point several times in a row wastes time. People's attention also drops off if you do that. You may also lose some impatient people who don't watch the rest of the video. 2) Select good examples to make your point. Several times in this video you make hypothetical examples because the position doesn't really require the check you are discussing. E.g. when you move the pawn to undefend the bishop. It isn't attacked so there is no threat. Or you discuss a check of what will happen if you make a certain move even though it is black to move. It would be better to select some good positions to illustrate the point with a concrete example. You also tended to get distracted from the point because the position you showed had other things going one which you started to discuss. You want to stick to the point you are making and if the position matches this, it helps you avoid this distraction and keeps the video shorter. I wish you luck with the channel. You are off to a good start, and i think you can reach a lot of beginner chess players with this type of content.
