Honestly not being able to quickly go to the pokedex of the Pokemon selected in your party is so annoying.....you have to exit inventory, open pokedex, and scroll to desired Pokemon By itself it isn't horrible, but doing it over and over and over wastes so much time

Here's some more tips. If you have Pokémon Home, you can import Pokémon from there directly to PLA. Not only will this help you fill your Dex even faster, but you could also release those transferred Pokémon at the stables for free materials and such.

Honestly I’ve done 5-6 playthroughs to collect all the legendary pokemon in ultra ball, jet ball and gigaton balls and I have the whole dex in home to transfer over for each playthrough and it helps for getting star ranks quickly

You can transfer anything now via home as long as it's in the PLA dex

7:20 (**FULL SCARLET VIOLET OUTBREAK GUIDE**) so in scarlet and violet, you can open your map and a few outbreaks will be there, at the glowing red symbol. if youve registered the pokemon, it will show the pokemon, if the pokemon is new, it will show a question mark. you can get outbreaks for different forms too, even authentic sinistea, and if you havent registered that specific form, it also shows a question mark. once you get there, you save. you use autobattles to knock out 60 pokemon, or until it says something like “there are not many _____ left from the original outbreak”, then kill 5-10 more for good measure. if you clear the outbreak for knocking out 5-10 more, you can reset. once youve done that, you can save again. make a sandwich using the V3 sandwich chart online, (the one with 1 of all bell peppers in the recipe). then just picnic reset (open and close picnic to unload and load in new pokemon) until you find the shiny or your sandwich runs out. every sandwich lasts 30 minutes, pressing the home button does stop the timer. resetting the game gets rid of the sandwich regardless if you save in the middle of it. if the sandwich runs out first, reload the game. the outbreak will still be there and you can make a new sandwich. (note, if you dont want to use herba mystica, you can make an encounter power 2 sandwich by looking in the recipes or looking a recipe up and do the same thing). once you spot the shiny, you should probably save in case it dies. if it does, you can reset the game and it will still be there, but your sandwich will be gone. if you catch it successfully, you can finish off your sandwich or just stop there. you can reset for the outbreak you want by opening your map, pressing home without closing the game, and skipping the time forward one day, i like to do one day and one month just in case. then go back to the game and they will be reset, as well as the tera raids. (another note, you cant get outbreaks for area 0 pokemon) hope this helps, love the video

I know it's been other 2 months, but it's also worth looking up the rice drop method if you have a surplus of herba. Basically, it means you don't have to deal with the sandwich building mini game outside of picking up the rice and dropping it immediately. It's my preferred method, and it makes my life so much easier.

scarlet and violet outbreaks are really simple. you use the auto battle function to KO the outbreak pokemon until you get the notification saying there isnt many pokemon left in the outbreak (typically after KOing 60-75). Then you can picnic reset or run back and forth until the shiny spawns. Odds with shiny charm after KOing is 1/819 and goes to 1/512 with level 3 sparking power sandwich

@SlakSquad I think so. The outbreaks in arceus can be really small and frustrating if you are hunting a timid pokemon that loves to run away. I always do a save before I eat the sandwich so I can reset if I don't find what I want and you don't even need an outbreak for lots of pokemon. Depending on what spawns where you can eat a sandwich of the fighting type and if you're in the right area you will only find mankey, A dragon sandwich for dragonite or dragapult, etc. And you can always hatch pokemon if you get bored. Also I don't know if it's BM to talk about other creators but I apologize if so, just the easiest way I knew to share as much info about the subject as possible. Loved your video, great work!

Scarlet and Violet's outbreaks are really easy (and probably the only time I'll intentionally Shiny Hunt lol) basically, the odds of a Shiny appearing increase after fainting certain numbers of Pokémon from an outbreak. I forgot what those numbers were specifically, but I know that the highest amount is 60. After that, you should save your game and make a "Shiny sandwich". (You could also make one before you reaching 60, , but I personally like to do it after so I won't have to worry about wasting ingredients and/or losing my count if one doesn't show up and I have to reload). After that, you can either continually host and then end a picnic, knock out the rest and hope a Shiny appears before then, or a little bit of both. I think this sandwich should last about 30 minutes. And you can press the home button or turn your Switch off to pause the sandwich timer. But only if you're not connected to the internet in-game. Your Switch can be though. Semi-related, but if there's event outbreaks going on, you can keep it going for however long you want. Just as long as your game doesn't connect to the internet. Additionally, not exactly related to Outbreaks, but in Scarlet and Violet, normally only 15 Pokémon can spawn at a time. If 16 spawn, then one of them will be a guaranteed Shiny

My 2nd playthrough that i finished last month, the first time i walked in obsidian fieldlands, god itself appeared to me; shiny bidoof. I also got a cutie pie aipom. I completed the dex for the first time so i could get arceus but i didnt do the research task stuff in depth bc i shiny hunt in SV, its insanely easy. Kill outbreak pokemon until it says "there arent many pokemon left in the original outbreak", make shiny sandwich, and just spawn and despawn them. At most ive gotten 5 shinies in one outbreak hunt. Its almost too easy. Great stuff guys 👍🏻

I would get so many space time distortions and catch everything else i needed in them except that mf and i got so frustrated i went on my gf's brilliant diamond copy to find it's fossil in the grand underground and trade it to myself, i was FED UP. That luck was cashed into finding a cherrim randomly, and i also got a peat block really really fast. I was expecting the peat block to be a pain in the ass. But yeah shiny hunting has only ever been enjoyable for me in scarlet & violet. If it had the overworld sparkle & sound it would be god tier method.

Seeing a few comments here of how to complete SV outbreaks when found, but heres a tip to find outbreaks you may be looking for: Not sure by how much, but both having an encounter sandwich and the local spawns around the player seem to have some influence on what outbreaks appear when the date switches over. So going to the area where your target spawns and making an encounter lv. 2 or 3 sandwich, then date skipping while it is still in effect makes your target much more likely to appear as an outbreak. Now its not 100% increase and the species natural spawn rate still plays an effect, I had a hard time getting espeon for example since eeveeloutions are rare, but this makes it much easier. Im working on somewhat of a shiny living dex myself using this method and its been effective.

Outbreaks in SV are very easy KO 60 and the odd go better then run away and back to respawn or set picnic and put away to respawn them shiny charm helps and shiny sandwiches but I don't use the food

No big deal! I think it is possible to reach rank 8 with only Pokémon before the bridge, but I will run out of task to do afterward. I found a way to climb the rock wall around Lake Verity (where the Togekiss is) *without Wyrdeer unlocked.* But I really want to find a sort of _sequence break_ where I could reach the other side without initiating the Mai fight. I believed that the "Buizel Bay" (between Horseshoe Plains and Worn Bridge) was promising, but after hours of tries, I never managed to cross. I found someone who did with some Alpha Bibarels that act as bridge, sadly the Pokémon is not available (no random Alpha yet).

@@SlakSquadYeah, my mind wasn't ready the first time I played. I got crazy high ranks just by wandering and catching around. I end up with a level 50 team with a really nice Alpha Alakazam who start at level 60 (and plenty in the boxes) before Kleavor. I believe I could reach rank 10 after I cross the bridge but before getting Wyrdeer. Yet, I am willing to test who much I could get before. I don't think I could get much more Pokémon. I will try to lure a Qwilfish and Magikarp which wander and could be next to shore, perhaps able to get Zubat and Cricketune from the other side without crossing. Or fish for a Chansey outbreak. Oddly, I only got one shiny yet: a Buizel.

Gallade is a tough one but I’d love to give you some extra tips! Shalpha can be tough. You could go for rates or kirlia outbreaks that have secondary waves and do the reset method, but that can be real tough due to Ralts fleeing constantly. I'm assuming though you want the satisfaction of catching the one that's in snowpoint temple. Make sure you're using the top entrance to the temple for your resets so it doesn't take as long!! Happy Hunting and hope you get your shalpha!!

I've gotten maybe 5 shinies in PLA compared to the literal boxes worth I've acquired in SV. No matter how many shiny strategy videos I watch for PLA, my luck in that game is just trash.

Knowing game freak, yup. I wish there was a game where every Pokemon was catchable AND catchable shiny. Arceus was a step in the right direction with no other games needed to complete the pokedex but imagine being able to get a shiny dex in one game without any trading or events

A switch being lost or stolen is the best reason for having a hacked switch. You can make sure you have backups of all of your game saves and games for worst case scenarios such as the console being removed from your possession for any reason. I really hate game saves are no longer on the carts and half of the games on the market don't use cloud saves. Nintendo is constantly lagging behind modern society and then getting mad when we take it into our own hands.

@SlakSquad I will say, its a pain if you can't get lucky with a v1 switch. Those are pretty much anything before the red box ones with the better batteries but even that's not always a guarantee. Its well worth it if you have the time or money. Just have to find the right source of instructions which recently got taken down and had to be reuploaded cause nintendo are scum. I am still trying to find a good place to have an OLED done with a chip since they don't have the same ease of access as v1 switch do. I want that better performance. Lol.

@SlakSquad Sadly based on everything going on so far mixed with the leaks and datamines, I think we are only looking at a worse situation. Nintendo looks to be locking things down even further which will likely bleed into how things are treated. But maybe we will get lucky somehow since its just an upgraded Switch. 🤷 But either their track record, I'm not holding my breath. But I will be holding a launch console in case we get lucky on hacks again. Lol. Btw, I don't think I said it before, I really enjoyed your video. Had a lot of fun idea and tips. One problem, I HAAATE completing the Pokédex. I tend to catch like…6 Pokémon and that’s it

Have you tried it in Legends Arceus? In most mainline games, completing the pokédex is pretty tedious or even impossible in some cases but with Arceus you only need one save file, no trading, and the gameplay loop is actually really fun!
