I get up, wash up, thanks to fasting don’t have to worry about preparing breakfast , drive 40 to 50 minutes to work (7:30 and 8:30 alternating start time) get home at either 5:30 or 6:30pm When I get home just have time to change and straight to the kitchen to prepare dinner Only get to sit down by 8:30 or 9pm exhausted!! I often wonder the same! I've been trying to improve my health b/c I WFH. It's not that glorious, trust me, no communte time, but you WORK b/c they are always watching. Before WFH, I commuted to work 2 hours each way, sometimes more. Anyway, I've been on leave b/c of work related injuries and now I have time to do all of this, and sometimes I do not, but in average, who can do this and take care of others i.e kids, partner, home , etc. Seems like you need to be awake at 5am and going to bed at 11pmb in order to do all of this!

I thinking, for me how about I pop in my headphones and listen to this while doing morning routine instead of staying in bed for extra 15 mins, 😂. Utilize that cortisol!

Around 7 a.m. I do my home workout for 20 minutes (sometimes more sometimes less). It includes, in different days, stretching, muscle strength, weight lifting (just 5 to 8 kg), and other body movements. I shower and dress, and then I take my breakfast around 8 a.m. Then I'm ready to my comute to the train station (10 minutes). I have found melatonin patches help a lot with sleep after nights, better than tablets as slow release through your "night". Also there are lots of online resources on healthy eating with shift work. Many use it as an excuse or feel as if it's only possible to eat crap..I have been there. But chocolate can be swapped for nuts, boiled eggs, cut up carrots and celery w homous or guac etc. Stay hydrated and you'll need less caffeine. Meal prep if you're on a 4:3 type rota so you have delicious healthy meals when you're on shifts or after. Fasting and shifts is definitely something I'd like to know more about from Mindy!

Great info! The first 15-20 minutes of my day are taking care of my 3 cats. Feeding and cleaning litter boxes. But I do get light, I go out and fill the bird feeder, and refresh the outdoor water. I’m taking my morning 40 minute walk earlier now, trying to beat the Southern California heat. 😥 I was watching a couple gardening KZbin videos with coffee before my walk, but I think I’ll try switching up the sequence. I’ll care for the animals, then walk, then have my coffee and favorite “shows”. I’m just getting back into fasting after taking about a year and a half break. I was doing intermittent fasting, some 24 & 36 hour fasts, and completed 3-4 day water fasts back in 2022 but did none last year. Earlier this month I did a 3 day fast and felt so great! One of my favorites of yours yet, thank you !! I get the testosterone surge at night. That's when I love to weight train. Literally i work out for an hour before bed, it makes me sleepy. I fast 18 hours (someone told me about that 😊) so I don't eat in the morning except herbal tea or coffee. I honestly believe in the mindful thoughts in the morning! My worst days are started with negative thoughts or things that are worrying me. It sets the tone for the day... I start my day with puppies and kitties.. Literally lol. My cat comes to say good morning (and feed me) and my dog rolls over for a morning snuggle. Starting calmly like that full of love I firmly believe has helped me stay calm dealing with my daily stresses. I did not know about the phthalates !! This was totally knew to me. I hate air fresheners and perfumes because they give me killer headaches but all those airborne chemicals affecting us in other physical ways makes complete sense !! Hello 🌈and thanks for your informations on how the body works: l agree and have noticed from own experience - a lot of them by myself, intuitiv and it works for me very well: - on the morning - first thing - l do some breathwork, often in bed, but open window. Then l go „outside“ - and do either a cardio walk with music or sit on the balcony and listen to some pos. affirmations. Afterwords l do my sport - at least 30 min - whatever feels good to me, always supported with music. My „infusion for the day! I feel just fine going into the day like that. If l am hungry then, l take a protein shake or some Greek Joghurt with nuts and banana and blueberries and cinnamon. Love that. Only coffee: l confess - l am „addicted“. I simply love coffee and first thing after waking up l get water and then my coffee 1 and 1/2. and 2 hours later another or espresso. Does matcha really make such a difference? If so - l would try it at least. Looking forward to an advice on that. 🌈🌷🦋thanks in advance.

I LOVE this! I've been getting myself in the habit of having a gentle morning for the first hour, waiting for that first cup of coffee and I love it. Here's something I'm currently struggling with though that I want to beat. I'm 59 and I have Fibromyalgia. In my 40s I was a fitness nut and I'm one of those people who really enjoys the gym environment. But since menopause and the FM which I've had for about 10 years, it is REALLY hard to get myself moving in the morning. I WANT to, but walking is often painful for me (after, not as much during) and the same with working out. Because of the pain, I have this huge mental wall that is keeping me from exercising. I don't know how to get past this. Where we live, there is a pool. Is swimming enough of an activity? If so, for how long? I so want to be strong again!

To complete all these morning tasks and still get to work on time, I'd gave to get up at 430 am. Its dark 3/4 of the year at 430 at my latitude.. Also, we're supposed to prioritize sleep. There is no possible way for me to be asleep by 730 or 8 and still be a part of family and community life., especially in the summer months when it is still light out till past 9 pm. I like the information, and I'll use what I can, but most Americans don't have as much free time as this morning routine requires.

When I had young ones, 4:00 a.m. was my sacred time, my favorite hour of my day. That hour was untouchable, because my kiddos remained fast asleep. How would you suggest we take advantage of using our fasted state to optimize fat burning when we weight train if we also want to use testosterone in the 7am-10am period, but don't want to break our fast. MCT oil after would not break the fast, but wouldn't provide the after workout protein that is helpful right after strengthtraining. Your thoughts?

I am up at 5:30 daily and I can't get sun before I start my day. Plus, I don't have a lot of time before I leave for work so I can only do about 10 minutes of meditation in order to fit in my yoga and daily flow to help my lymph drainage. Can we get our sunlight later and still get the benefits?

At night my phone is off, no TV, prepare my next day meal with music, read a book and definitely prioritise sleep. I will listen again to make sure I incorporate all steps 🤗🪷🎐💪🏼💙

It would be great to relax in the morning for an hour, pop outside and feel nature, then have your coffee, exercise and then walk...,not happening if you are working early full time..do really appreciate the information but impossible to get around this unless I get up at 5am before work and would probabaly be late ..Really appreciate your huge gift to the world..your information and care have changed lives!

I work 8 to 5. I get up at 4 ...drink coffee peacefully for an hour and ride my bike...come back, get ready for work. We'll, 8 is not really early.

@Robin-mj6jv what time do ypu go to bed. I have the same schedule, but can't seem to get to bed earlier than 10 asleep around 11 and up at 530. I am trying to work my way to 430.
@Robin-mj6jv2 ай бұрын
@melifrugalandfitmom126 ohhhh, I'm usually in bed no later than 8:30. Your body will get with whatever rhythm you do consistently. I had to weigh the benefit of the morning time versus the evening. When no one is up but me and the earth is quiet; I can truly work on getting myself together in many ways.

Working in the medical field it’s hard to wait on that cup of coffee. Usually going to work when it’s dark or the sun is just peaking-which I love. I do my best when I work out before work-usually a HIIT Workout with or without weights. Weekends, it’s usually more relaxed. I feed the chickens at daybreak, Bible study and then a workout.

The information you give is just amazing and also confirming. Because I have been trying to implement these things intuitively. Now it's solid evidence that these rhythms in our hormones exist and we can come into agreement with how they benefit US!

The new one for me was weights in the morning. With back issues, I generally do stretching and core strengthening exercises in the evening an hour before bed. I've been wondering where I could work in some weight training, and this seems perfect. Thank you!

Hi Mindy! I get up early about 5:15 am and have an alternating work out schedule of either walking 3 miles or going to the gym to lift weights or do cardio. I do drink coffee right away, so I think I'll try to wait an hour and see how that works out. I don't go to the gym right away, so I could definitely spend some time putting something positive in my brain vs. checking emails or social media (which I know would be health-ful) **. I love knowing how our bodies work hormonally (spelling?) and I appreciate you explaining this so much, thank you! I agree with you that the morning is a special time for us to do things that are helpful to us, and to protect our sleep by getting 7-9 hours every night too. Thanks so much and I'm looking forward to knowing more, and trying some of these tips!!! I learn so much from you!! Take care :-))

Thank you for the insight about our hormones ❤ that was the reason why I started to watch your YT videos. I never ment to fast as I was convinced that's bad for women... I ended up buying "Fast like a Girl" and doing a 72h water fast. I have well prepared for this fast for almost 3 months whereas I could switch into fat burning mode as from the start and had already some healthy food habits - by the way there is much less toxic food in the shelfs in Europe. Without realizing I am regularly fasting for 13-15has a normal lifestyle 😅 Thank you so much for all your precious videos 🙏🏼❤❤❤

I have been doing most except working out in the a.m. and I usually look at my phone within the first 15 minutes of being awake. I have my coffee usually within the first 15 minutes of waking also. I do like to go out on my front porch and enjoy nature for a little bit while having my coffee. This is big enjoyment for me.

I am new to this channel but I am loving it! I am learning so much! I got to it by watching an episode of The Diary of a CEO (great stuff as well!!). Watching at this video I have finally understand why the time that I used to go to the gym at 5AM did so much good to me. I was full of energy, lost a lot of weight and was feeling so great. I am in the process of getting to my best self at my 58, and I am putting my ‘toolbox’ together. Thank you for sharing so much great info!!

Ohh yes i do all of these, but i will add some affirmations on waking, plus i need to add breath work or qigong into the morningroutine. I often sleep half the night outside, as im lucky to have a covered terrace, so always wake with the sun, such a good start to the day. I can never complete an evening weights session at night, now i know why, and it gives me hope to build muscle which is quite honestly a battle!! Thank you mindy, i will share your wisdom with friends. ❤

Dr Mindy you are the best! I do everything you said in this video and I feel great, I'm 49 years old I bike 4 times a week for an hour and do yoga 4 times a week, I have been fasting for a couple of years now I usually fast for 19 to 20 hours but I'm gaining weight lately so I'm thinking to shorten My fasting to 16 hours hopefully that will lower the stress

My mornings are all dedicated to kids 🥲 I either wake up from my alarm or from one of them jumping on me, at 7am. Then yes, I will be on my feet for over an hour, but no work outs, just breakfast making, lunch making, then after dropping the kids at school, I finally get to do a 15-20 minutes walk, then have my coffee with double cream at about 10-11.

This is all great information and I really love it. However with young kids and the season of life some of us are in, it’s not always possible to workout and do all of these things within the first two hours of waking. So I do my best and do the ones I can within those two hours. These two hours are spent getting kids up, breakfast and ready for school etc… Would love to hear your thoughts on this Dr Mindy. I would hate to think that doing all of things after those first two hours are futile? Once kids are at school and we have the space and time to breathe and workout, I find myself being more present with all these things.

I wait an hour before coffee, I get out of bed slowly thinking of things I need to do but not stressing about it, I'm now going to add affirmation. I walk the dog for 40 minutes, I need to do weights. I have a glass of water before I walk.

Wake up around 0600, play with husband and dogs, feed dogs, walk, make tea, journal in backyard before working remotely. As a nurse I've never got in the habit of wearing fragrance because patients with asthma or allergies can have detrimental consequences. I usually don't eat until 1000 or 1100 unless it's a fasting day. Twice a week I take a weight class at the gym at 0530, then walk, make tea, have protein smoothie, and journal in backyard.

Hello! In February 2024, I started a low carb diet. At that time, my A1C was 5.3. In April, my A1C went up to 5.6, and in July it went up to 5.7. My doctor says I'm pre diabetic. Do you know why instead of going down, my A1C went up while I was on a low carb diet?

One of my favorite's from you. My hormones are not great. I am a carnivore with an occasional veggie. Did BHT for a year. Had a stroke so can't do them anymore. I do walk within the 1st 2 hours of waking. I don't drink caffeine. I do drink decaf which I'm sure still has some.
