3 months sober for me now. Gets much easier after 4-5 weeks dry. But now I just focus on the fact all alcohol offers is short term gratification for 2 hours then you feel like crap for the following 48 hours

I quite drinking when i started uni as a mature student and decided to re-engage my brain and prove a point to everyone. Five years later ill have a beer or two after a hard day while relaxing looking at my bachelors degree in engineering that hangs over my tv. Its no longer the escape mechanism it used to be.
