A little over 18 months sober and I'm never going back. Don;t forget to hydrate on water! 3.7 liters for adult males and 2.7 liters for adult females, it'll reduce the sugar craving and ease the overall detox. It was for my detox.

I find it helps to count the days and tell a freind or family member each day that you have been sober for so many days it feels like an achievement

Day 3 and Day 4 are always hellish for me. Hope I never have to go through Day 3 and Day 4 again.

I can honestly say as someone that went through dt and being hospitalized and reaching Rock bottom once u can that choice to not drink that’s it

A month alcohol free, mainly because I broke my knee drinking and riding a bike. Had surgery and now I have a synthetic knee. I’m recovering. I find myself craving chocolate 😂😂😂 I never crave sweet things.

Week 1 is down to what you were drinking and how much. Somebody who drank a 6 pack of beer every night is going to have a very mild experience compared to somebody who was drinking a bottle of vodka every day. The former will start feeling better by day 2 while the latter will experience insomnia and hallucinations and should consult a doctor before moving forward.

Very true, as a heavy drinker I found that drinking an infusion of verbena before going to bed really helps ( no seizures and no hallucinations) but you're still going to sweat like crazy and have bad sleep

Make a list of reasons not to drink and look at it daily. Find one new hobby, even if you are very bad at it. I'm 3 weeks in, and just started randomly painting mediocre artwork

This video is misleading to say the least and ridiculous to say the most. Quitting drinking is GREAT. For nothing else but a healthier, longer and more pleasant life. However, these videos promising you will go from being a drunken slop to a fit, handsome, viral, stud is BS. DO NOT EXPECT anything except a long, difficult road to sobriety. It's not a 28 day transformation at all. It's a daily struggle. You WILL NOT change in 28 days other than feel much better and think much clearer. Do not expect miracles in 28 days or even 90 days. Just stick with it and stay sober.

28 days is definitely not enough to make a big difference. After a month you do start to feel the positive effects though. Leon is just trying to spread some positivity. I just went over 2 years sober now. It took me over a year before I started feeling awesome and a big part of that was because of an improved diet. It wouldn't of happened though if I hadn't gone thru those first 28 days.

Can’t wait to respond after the video. I watch his content as pick me ups I’m coming close to starting my 4th week sober so day 28 is coming up. I’d been weaning off leading up to quitting though I’d had binge days on Saturdays which didn’t help. Yeah quitting is not peachy but I’d been quit before and fell back into drinking. I was 200 pounds and in the best shape for my lift after losing 50 pounds and now I’m back and even heavier the highest being 275 which again is a repeat of me back in 2016 being at most 285 and losing weight after quitting and going the gym around 240 and gradually losing more weight getting down to 220 then again started drinking again. No it’s not a magical 28 day change like the thumbnail. I don’t believe he ever said you’d be in great shape in 28 days. But I definitely feel great. And right at the end he said year from now you wouldn’t be able to recognize yourself. For someone that’s done this before and faced all the shame and guilt of losing all that I’d worked for twice. It definitely takes about a year. Maybe because it’s not my first rodeo I don’t find a problem with the video itself. You seen more frustrated with the thumbnail than anything else. It’s KZbin it’s business it’s borderline clickbait. But I know his content is good.

@@mgrootemaat as someone who had a relative who struggle to not eat paper I don’t see what point you’re trying to make. Staying sober is a struggle for a lot of people.
