I enjoy alcohol. It is a poisonous drug and,... I feel guilty about it. I can totally abstain (right now) while my brother is an alcoholic. Truly unfair. Historically, alcohol was a solution to polluted water ... but not today.

The Money I spend on Alcohol is nothing against the Money I would have earned more if I was as clear as I am now for my whole career.

Helpful video! I don't drink alcohol. People at work always think I’m weird and something is wrong with me. I’m more able to deal with my negative emotions, I’m more healthy and I have more money in my pocket. I only see positives. I don’t need a drink to feel normal and any friends that make me feel weird for not drinking aren’t really my friends. I have enough strength to take control of my mind and body and not allow foreign substances to dictate who I am!👋❤

No question there are plenty of alcoholics among us. There are AA meetings around the clock in almost every community in the United States and the rest of the world. They make it seem like quitting is hard. It isn't at all. I drank a 5th a day for 10 years. I watched myself waste my potential. Now that was hard. To know you're a fraction of yourself. The first step is the hardest part. The rest is easy. I truly hope quitting alcohol isn't the hardest thing you do in life. Because to me.. that sounds like a sad and boring life. Learning to grow without a drug. Learning to control your emotions. Learning to build up confidence in yourself.. that is rewarding. Challenging yourself is rewarding. That being said I've been sober for years and don't care to drink again the rest of my life. I learned people love you more for being yourself and you're more pleasant to be around in general sober. I doubled my income in the first year of being sober. Moved from my hometown. Bought a house with a few acres. Found a great person to spend life with.. I'm also in great shape.. It's not until you're around drunk people while completely sober that you realize... Wow I use to be one of those idiots. 😂

Well - I did 18 months sober then my wife went away with her friends for a holiday and I ended up right back where I was. Got massively smashed - £300 gone in a weekend and I can't even remember it. Doh! Back and 2 weeks sober now.

The success rate in AA is not as it might be claimed. I could see mostly same faces when going to meetings. And, yes, repeating suggestion daily that I am an alcoholic is like adding a record to self image. I have nothing against AA as such that helped me to stay sober for number of years. What really turned me away that otherwise nice and friendly people when becoming so called sponsors turned suddenly in to control freaks: do as I say or else. Not helpful in long term for a person with a low self-esteem. Thanks for the video - really helpful.
