Rather than captain cards it should’ve been captain badges so we can put the boost in and use a card that has a better version of the card (ex: jt realmuto) and yes the captains should’ve been core cards and when activated you can use any eligible player regardless of sets

I use the Pedro Martinez 90’s pitchers boost at tier 3 it makes the braves guys so nasty. Gregg maddux, tom glavin, john smoltz, all nasty and you add kerry wood in the mix ! Nasty

They should have made the Gold Paul Goldschmidt captain a CORE. He boosts any card thats 80-89 and actually makes them playable.

Ive been using the Vlad Sr. Free swingers for quite a while now. Theres lots of guys with low discipline and the +arm strength has come in clutch during games to throw guys out at the plate.

Just do away with captains and make better actual cards. Almost nobody is doing theme teams. So end result is everybody uses the same cards.that dont need captain boosts.

It'll be a gamble seeing as weve seen SDS make them available again. No way to tell they arent gonna do that again and the last one made sure that they arent as rare anymore. Pretty sure almost everyone hangs on to their ripken even if they use rollins for the time being because theyre in love with mantle or chipper. Especially since in season6 the player base will have gone down and there are so many ripkens in the wild, I cant see them going back up to 200k like before
