I hope this scenario never happens, but imagine he went through all this and then lose in the 2nd round because of cramping?

I get the fun part of it and it's good entertainment, but knowing he has lost his first match and seeing this video, I think the preparation wasn't the optimum. The most important things in preparation are shape, rehab and confidence. LeBron James is a very good example for somebody who does like anything to be in the best position to maximize his talent, especially when it comes to playoff time. He is working with the best personal coaches and nutritionists available and what he is always saying "sleep is the best preparation", so it should be a place where you are very comfortable. Maybe a good conversation before going to bed with your best friend or partner to get some good feedback. The big question to me is, if u should really focus on the match a day before or try to relax the best. Last year, I did a 60 minutes easy training session a day before the tournaments (low level, not qualifiers for nationals) and it worked out well for me (low nervousness). What is your experience regarding nervousness? Trying to relax before or trying to focus very early?
@MarkSansait3 жыл бұрын
In all honesty I think calling a friend would have helped. I never thought about that type of relaxation before!

Those three things weren’t the interesting thing. I’d love to hear more about that mindset: loving it when people want to take you down. Is that something you usually play with? What’s the attraction of being the target?

7 minutes flexing of how not to dare to try. Or: 7 minutes flexing of someone’ anxiety induced escapist coping behaviors. Or: 7 minutes to simply say to clean your room and pack your stuff, the night before a bender/before next morning’s challenge. Or: The interesting competitor’s mindset of loving it when opponents give it their all to destroy him. Kind of a functional self destruction.
