Dear all, regarding Halbe Rahmen and shipping. Only the countries for which they have fixed shipping costs are listed in the online store, they do ship to the US, but it has to be requested individually. Just contact them on info@halbe.de. For the UK, you'll need an EORI number due to Brexit (whatever that is).

Thanks so much for explaining how shutter speed is displayed on the back of the camera. This is so simple - but it has confused me for quite sometime!

Thanks Mads for the wealth of information presented here on shutter speed. I greatly appreciated the upfront concepts of understanding distance to moving subject, subject speed, and focal length. The range of examples presented was great! You provided some great starting points for shutter speed for different contexts while encouraging us to explore our creativity. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge!

One thing I always say to my students at photography workshops is make sure your chosen shutter speed looks INTENTIONAL. This is usually an issue at "middling" shutter speeds. You need to strike the balance of motion and texture just right, or it just looks like you forgot to set your shutter speed properly and weren't even thinking about it.

I was really surprised, moving up to a Canon r6 mark II to be able to break the 1/n rule for handhold shots. But my instincts still have me follow the rule.

Hi Mads. If you were doing a focus stack while shooting waterfalls. Can you not shoot the high ground at a faster shutter speed and then the foreground with a slower shutter speed on the water and then blend them? Colin,

4:17 - It's a fraction, so it should be at MOST 1/50s. Smaller value -> faster shutter speed. Right?

Mads, first of all, I really enjoy your images but they are not your best attribute. Where you really raise the bar is with regard to communication. Again - while excellent, the information isn't quite what makes your work shine - there is a layer of engagement, modesty, approachability that brings your skill alongside me, supporting my thoughts and elevating both my understanding and where I want to apply your approaches - in terms of technique, thought and attitude. Somehow, without bi-directional communication, you manage to mentor us without telling, yelling, lecturing or professing. I want to see your channel grow - and some others too. Collaborations I'd like to see is with "the photographic eye" and Simon D'Entremont. You guys are really changing the youtube waves!

Halbe doesn’t deliver to the UK. Cheer Brexit voters 🙄
@petercollins78485 ай бұрын
There is more to Brexit than just buying ‘stuff’, it is called freedom! How do you think that businesses went on before the EU? You would think that the EU was some sort of god to many people. It is probably going to collapse anyway in the near future due to immigration and rival political pressures.
