Very similar to a traditional Croatian dish called Mazalice. Highly recommend, they're delicious. Also, to anyone who's worried the meat will fall into the grill, use minced meat with a little bit of sprinkling water (and spices) mixed into it. It will make the meat spread stick a lot better to the bread.

There is already a name. In South America, mainly on Argentina it is called Choripán.

If you have a good quality, fresh sausage you could eat this completely raw without bothering. Just look up the german „Mettbrötchen“. I made sausages by myself and tried the raw filling every now and then to check for seasoning. Totally safe to eat and delicious!

The meat is only grilled on one side. The part against the bread is just soggy. I'll stick with a tried and true flame-grilled cheeseburger.

Sausage looks great. But that cast iron flat grill looks as if most of the veggies fall off while you cook them. Just my opinion, but a more deep pan for the veggies might work better. 🤷‍♂️
