Master Wong is brilliant. This video is so good. Defender goes from defense to offense, in a single coordinated movement, without moving the feet, completely controls attacker, and put the attacker in a position where he will be devastated, and cease being a threat, or escape is possible. Man, I wish I grew up under Master Wong's training it is good and fun. How is the family, Master Wong? Please take good care. Please continue to make these videos, many things I have never seen before. Here in America, the MMA shoot in on the legs very popular, spreading is a good defense, but the lesson today is the best. Thanks to you, Master Wong.

Thank you for your kind words and your keen observation of the techniques demonstrated. It's not just about the physical execution but also about understanding the principles deeply. My family and I are doing well, thank you for asking. You mentioned the popularity of MMA techniques, especially the shoot-in on the legs. While those techniques have their place, it's crucial to remember the essence of combat: adaptability. In Wing Chun, we emphasize the concept of "fight move, people move." It's about responding swiftly and effectively to the situation at hand. And you're absolutely right; mastering these techniques can be educational and enjoyable. Remember, the way you train reflects in your daily life. Train hard, live clean, and not let anyone bully you. If you're interested in delving deeper into these techniques and principles, we have a comprehensive program on our website. It's designed to help you understand and apply Wing Chun in real-world scenarios. Keep practicing and exploring, and I'm glad to have you on this journey with us. www.wingchunmaster.tv/

A proper single leg requires hands locked together around bend of leg. A lift and push backwards are part of the flow of movement path. If Sifu lifts head on this proper technique, he will be helping assist as his balance will be off. Proper defense should involve a sprawl back thrust with leg outstretched. This usually places you on top of person shooting takedown and can break the hand lock around leg.
@masterwong1016 ай бұрын
Remember, adaptability is key-our cornerstone principle is "fight move, people move." Mastering the sprawl and understanding the opponent's movements is crucial for effective self-defense. Check out our full program on our website for in-depth training on these techniques.

Master Wong..how concerned should I be about obtaining belts in martial arts?
@masterwong1015 ай бұрын
Ah, the quest for belts. Belts have their place, but remember, they're not the destination; they're merely markers on the journey. Focus on mastering techniques and cultivating the warrior spirit. The belt you wear matters less than the skills you possess. Train hard, live clean, and not let anyone bully you.

Thank you master Wong I learned every move and teachable that you have taught me and my wing chun teacher would be very proud what I have learned. I do know you understand about bullying and Palestine and pro Palestine have bullying a lot of Jews. They are very racist and they do not like Americans, Asians and all Spanish and black people. I do not take any self-defense of the style of Krav Maga but I do respect it can be useful that the Jews or people of Israel to protect themselves from Palestinian people. I do know it is a martial arts created by the Jews or Israelis since back then the Nazi war When the Nazis were torturing the Jews back in history. that’s how Krav Maga was created to protect themselves from the Nazis from many years ago. Now from this day, it seems like it’s coming back to protect themselves. What has happened so many years ago. I do highly respect their martial arts that was created, even though I don’t take any self-defense of Krav Maga. Wing chun will always be my forever martial arts.

Hello, another interesting video ! But this time let me ask a question that, I guess, has never been asked here. You show your viewers ( who usually have a lot in common with martial arts or sport in general ) how to deal with opponents or attackers and it's great ! But how to cope with ourselves ? I mean, how to cope with PAIN, with INJURIES, with MUSCLE STRAINS or JOINTS OVERLOAD ? Such cases affect everyone - sooner or later ! When we're getting older, and we still want to train, such accidents happen even more often than earlier. So, What are your thoughts about it ? Have You got your own ideas how to recover faster, or how to avoid injuries which often might discourage training. Well, we won't cheat nature, but giving up sports, in turn, causes other ailments, so ..... . Will You find some time to refer to this topic ? Regards. 🤛
@masterwong1016 ай бұрын
Ah, a vital topic indeed! In my experience, preventing injuries and recovering swiftly are as crucial as mastering techniques. It's all about balance and resilience. To avoid injuries, listen keenly to your body, and adapt your training accordingly. Focus on proper form and technique, not just intensity. And remember, the way you do anything is the way you do everything. As for recovery, prioritize rest, nutrition, and gentle exercises to maintain flexibility. A holistic approach, incorporating techniques like fasting and Yin-Yang nutrition, can greatly aid in healing and longevity. Train hard, live clean, and not let anyone bully you. Remember, adaptability is key both in combat and in life.

In my experience, when it comes to closing the gap, it's all about adaptability. As I always say, "fight move, people move." You must be ready to adjust your strategy based on the situation. Perhaps. Guestion is whats your counter when you get kneed in the temple or throat. Its 50 50 risk to expose your head and neck. Bjj or wrestling in a controlled environment is one thing. In a actual fight can you get to checkmate first. In the old world most people carried daggers bludgeons even crude pistols.
@blockmasterscott6 ай бұрын
Maybe so, but just because something works against a regular person but not an experienced grappler doesn’t mean it’s useless. The VAST majority of people are not trained grapplers.
@brentcho12753 ай бұрын
@@blockmasterscott I agree. Plus, this technique is not always about defending against wrestlers but non-wrestlers might even do that same thing just to take someone down and attack their face. So in case of that situation, it’s better to have these techniques in every martial arts whether one’s more effective than the other. They’re just different ways in every fighting styles. And people really need to stop comparing these with other fighting styles. Every fighting styles are meant to defend from strangers, not to defend against other martial artists!
