They took a few words From Jamaican patois and make it into slang all them slang that is being used in overseas countries is all copied from Jamaican patois/native language...The slang that They're using is not even half of jamaican patois just a few words...No they don't sound like Jamaicans just the words are taken from patois 💀💀💀Slang and Jamaican patois is two different ting!! All those counties foreign countries that the slang is being used is English speaking country..Well Canada speaks both French and English..It all started when Jamaicans started to travel overseas 100+ years after slavery done and foreigners liked our accent and adopt the language I fail to believe ur a "Jamerican" tho hehe.

How Toronto slangs originated: 1. Originally from Jamaica/Caribbean/West Indies region 2. Became popular in London, England through immigrants 3. Drake starts copying the slangs/accents from London mans and popularized it via his songs 4. People in Toronto all of a sudden start claiming the slangs are from Toronto If you're from Toronto then you'll know almost all the high school kids talk like that on purpose 😂😂 it's fking ridiculous
