That sounds surprisingly crisp and clear inside the box. How did you get the bass / low mid frequencies out? There's always stuff around 200 Herz muffling up my recordings I do with this.

@@soulemnthegreat9557 Well, meanwhile I've found out that part of the reason for the muffled sound was that my condenser mic was placed too high in the box. ;) Because the screw that the microphone is supposed to be mounted upon was slightly miscut. As a consequence, the sound of my voice didn't hit the microphone at a straight angle, but slightly from below.

What the hell is the point? He made several "points" in the video but I don't get it. How can you announce for a game if you can't *SEE* the game?? Why would anyone on a tour bus need to be recording in a sound proof box?? If it's not a studio recording the recording quality doesn't matter. And really? $1000 for this thing? You said it has this convenient Isovox LED stick light. It's literally a battery powered light you stick inside of a hole.

This video didn't really show, who it is good for. Instead it showed some extreme conditions. It's good for people, who do home recording. For those with a loud voice who don't want to disturb neighbours or sleeping kids. Or for those, where adjusting the room for a better acoustic is no option

As a budding musician you put out a small collection of tunes that people actually pay you for...take that money and re-invest it into the next step up. Untill you're DJ Khaled (whatever) you go through a handful of "stages" in the recording arts. I'm using this because I live in a rent control area of San Francisco and my girlfriend is on the lease. I want to sing rock music dynamics but have to go through several "iterative" versions till I get it right. Even if I don't record the desired dynamics that rock asks for- I can still practice the dynamics with this apparatus.

It does get a little warm after a while, but it is super easy to get some new fresh are in there. Just open one of the sides for a few seconds

3 things you should change: 1) intergrated stand that is more stable and doesn’t look like it will snap easily. 2) safety, no view of surroundings. 3) holder for mobile device inside, again, safety element required. Bonus one, musicians are broke. This should be $100 - $150 tops or with different levels of variation at different prices

Expensive, but I figured if it works it would be worth it. Unfortunately, after placing an order with B&H I was told although B&H ship to Canada it would be without ANY kind of warranty not even a basic manufacturers warranty. Apparently all ISOVOX products are sold "as is no returns" to Canada. Needless to say I canceled my order. Pity because IF it was as good as they say it is, it would have been worth it. That said, who in their right mind would buy what is perhaps the only product B&H don't stand behind?

You can probably fit a smartphone or iPad in there with some sort of autoscrolling prompter software. We actually for some of our videos us this iOS app: bit.ly/ProPrompter_iOSSoftware and actually have relatively good results. It listens for your voice, and scrolls as you speak. Hope this helps.

The reflections of the speaker's voice were dramatically reduced inside the booth, but I didn't hear much difference in the level of background noise when the proper comparison was performed using the same microphone inside and outside the booth (at 3:43). I suspect the low level of background noise recorded inside the booth in Central Park was mostly due to the fact that the speaker was speaking loudly and close to a microphone with a restrictive pick-up pattern. I own a portable sound booth myself but it is only useful for cutting down reflections that would otherwise bounce off the walls. To get proper sound isolation, you need heavy barriers like bricks or mass weighted vinyl, especially for the lower frequencies.

It isn't cheap, but a good mic isn't as well and adjusting your room for a better acoustic plus making it sound proof is probably twice as expensive, plus that takes a lot of work and time. This box is simple and when moving (or simply changing rooms) you don't need to undo lot's of the work you put into the room. Instead you can just unzip the box and take it with you

I mean when you were out in both segments of the park it sounded nice and clear sound was impressive but not perfect I still heard slight sounds from the outside of the box especially while talking in the tunnel. I heard the echo of your voice in the tunnel but it was subtle and hard to hear. The office like area was very nice the sound was completely blocked off and barely any feedback from outside noises. But a thousand dollars is a thousand dollars. You need to know what your needs are and what your willing to sacrifice. Portability over quality, or quality over portability. I think this would be perfect if you added a combo cloth like booth with this. A dyi type of deal or purchase one. But over all extremely satisfied.
