Do we all fall prey to religious manipulation?

QUESTION: Hello Kim, I have a question for you regarding religious people. Recently I have a friend who used to be in the New Age, but now has disowned everything she was taught because she has converted to Christianity. She is saying Yoga, Buddha, reincarnation are all lies from the devil. In the church she's attending she's been told that she is on her way to heaven, while the rest of us are on the path to hell. They do a lot of prayers and speak in tongues. It all sounds like gibberish nonsense! Nevertheless, that's what she is into.
My question is; Do we all come to a lifetime where we fall into religious manipulation and completely brainwashed doctrines. People from her church have told her about visions from Jesus they have had which showed them hell and people who did not repent and believed in him were there forever and called damned sinners.
Does God condemn us to hell? and why do people see stuff like that? When you see their socalled testimonials you're led to believe them because they sound so credible!?
Who is behind all of this? The fallen beings, the greys, etc.? It's so confusing what to believe.
