I resonated with this.... I have been on a spiritual journey for last couple years and it's been up and down, left and right. At times I have been misguided and overcomplicating things... This is not a knock at Christianity, but during my more recent journey, I was studying the Bible and applying its teachings. I do believe it has great truths in it, but I found myself being fairly judgmental and developing a sort of superiority complex. That's dangerous. I actually had a love/hate relationship with my sins when I finally caved to temptations, because while I was disappointed that I had compromised and failed my goal, I felt the superiority complex wash away, and I could not view myself as "holier than thou". I'm not blaming Christianity or the Bible for this. I simply think it was a personal issue. I was expecting to get some type of reward or something deep down, and my ego got the best of me. Even afterwards, I did look at spiritual peoples belongings and riches in a negative light and judged them for it. I suppose that there is nothing wrong with these things, but rather, being attached and identified with these things is the problem instead. If you can't afford to lose it, you shouldn't have it. Maybe if a Guru threw a fit and started crying if his car got wrecked, then I could be skeptical, but simply experiencing things in life shouldn't be automatically looked down at.

Sir when I was in class 3 my mother forced me to an one week art of excel workshop. Now I am going to be 20 years of age and now I realise that those 1 week transformed my life forever. Whenever you ask an enlightened person what is enlightenment, he does not answer he remains silent. Answer is through his own calm, composed and ecstatic mind. This is the most authentic of answering, how a person state of mind is when he has arrived otherwise words are mere hint. Some people also understand wrongly ' I 'and enlightenment do no go together so now they have to go to self denial and self annihilation mode, absence of 'I' simply means you have developed 'I', who does not feel insecured, scarred and always feels that he will be taken care every time and goes with the flow of life and lives fully in it.

Enlightment is a state when one comes out of dark - out of trouble or worries in life. So it can be feelings or knowledge that can solve problems in life with purpose of taking away a stress a thus finding a piece, joy or hapiness. It is period of time without a stress and without a fear. It is only a period until new type of unsolved (stressful) problem arises. Enlightment is subjective to an individual and cannot be transfered - only thought and experienced. Kind of a problem solving skill with focus for life and living in general.

"yada te moha-kalilam buddhir vyatitarishyati tada gantasi nirvedam shrotavyasya shrutasya cha" 'When your intellect crosses the quagmire of delusion, you will then acquire indifference to what has been heard and what is yet to be heard'. -Gita (2.52) Most of us lead our life in illusion or disillusioned- with reality lost in translation! We fail to realise that while introspection is good, prospection is not easy and retrospection is everybody's take. As sentimental fools, we allow ourselves to manipulation, not having gained the ability to dissociate, the capacity to discern and the firmness to stand by our own. Life is no black and white picture... it has a zillion shades of grey... to understand requires not only individual capacity but a great sense of fairness in this unfair existence. Remember, we are one but individually slightly different. The same circumstance will mean, affect and be faced differently by different individuals with different results. Stop being judgemental with a tunnel vision. Do not belittle... it only shows that you are little and small! It is never too late to begin.
