ICC Chief prosecutor Karim Khan has defended seeking arrest warrants for Israeli leaders. In an interview with CNN, Khan revealed how ‘hothead’ mature American leader threatened him over arrest warrant. Karim Khan further made it clear that the International Criminal Court will go ahead with the warrant.

The ICJ and ICC isn't about sovereignty, its about war crimes. Asking the perpetrator of war crimes to investigate themselves makes no logical sense..Accountability is extremely unlikely and with politics in the mix, unrealistic... The US has committed horrendous war crimes in countless wars over the decades which have gone unanswered because its the most powerful country in the world.. The US should say it how it is. Just to add the US is only as powerfull as they are because a lot of nations had a reason to go along with them (Europe, Japan,...) If those nations actually start playing hard ball with the US then there's still a very big ocean between the USA and the Middle east so if say Europe were to cease support to the US then operations to support Israel in the Meditereannean would become a lot more challenging as they would be much more dependant on what Arab nations would allow them to do. The US has a robust global logistics system, but that system still relies on overseas basis for storing supplies and such so they don't have to take everything from the mainland US to wherever they need to go. There are a lot of interests in the entire thing from trading relations to military supplies that make it unlikely for Europe to really go hard against the USA, but I am just pointing out that the US still relies on European nations and others around the world for their power projection and America is losing credibility rapidly amongst the European populations with their backing of Israel, whilst at the same time having had to discuss endlessly about Ukraine aid. Pretty much no political parties in my nation (Belgium) are pro-Israel anymore and the ones that are most certainly don't use that as a talking point when they don't have to (MR and NVA). I also wonder with one of them (NVA) whether the pro-Israel part is not going to get lynched by the other part if election results go poorly (being pro-Israel only serves the interest of the party leader to get reelected as mayor of Antwerp and doesn't serve the interest of the wider party). It's not a major political point in and of itself, but being pro-Israel most certainly isn't the thing you wanna emphasize in my nation going into the elections, because most people don't agree with Israel and don't agree with the US backing of Israel.
