I saved my husband in Portugal. He decided it was absolutely necessary to walk a few blocks to go the ATM at 2:00 a.m. which is when we arrived, late to our airbnb. I said, "Well if you insist, then I will go with you." As we were approaching the town square, while my husband was looking at his map on his phone. I spied atleast 2 men hiding near the ATM. I warned my husband, we ended up heading back to our airbnb immediately. Oh & btw, my son decided to have a destination wedding in Cartagena, Colombia. I see it is on that gals list of places she wont go back to. I've been so upset about this, putting his guests in harms way. It's ludicrous. I'll update you when I return, God willing. 😢

Just because we would like the world to be all butterflies and rainbows doesn't make it so. Proceed with a Jere, miah 17:9 worldview and you will be much safer as you live and travel.

Excellent video ! There is indeed so much naivety, lack of knowledge and I'll add plain stupidity around ! Any woman who travels solo should be always on her guard and think she's the equivalent too often of a whOrre because that is their perception. Forget about all the smiles that make the woman think oh they're so nice. Delusions.Think of yourself as a big delicious cake coupled with an atm machine that's walking around in front of very hungry people.. Or a human next to vampires. Find an analogy that works for you and take off the rose-colored glasses.

I'm amazed that some women don't understand how predators operate. Predators seek out the weakest target Period. If you're a women in ANY country alone is literally attracting predators starting from the point they walk out of their house or hotel.

Absolutely, and this needs to be said, it's the way the world is and basic common sense. Many people, women included, have such a naive attitude and think the whole world has their Western standards and somehow do things and put themselves at risk in foreign countries they would never do in their own western country. Unfortunately, women have more risks everywhere and more in some foreign countries traveling alone. Maybe they need to process that when traveling and seeing women always covered and accompanied by a man. Maybe it is in some part for the woman's safety. I have to add that you picked up on something that I have seen continually in media, the talking out of oth sides of their mouths. It is a deceptive practice. At once is recognition of truth, then dismissal. It is like programming.
