I learned my Spanish in Spain. The biggest difference between the difference "versions" of Spanish is the slang used in each country. So here, I am hearing phrases I've never heard before. But, the best thing about the people who appeared on this video is that they speak very clearly. And the guy with the guitar has a beautiful singing voice too. ¡Viva México!

¡Hola a todos! Since we really pay attention to our feedback in all of our videos, we notice a lot of complain about censoring the bad words in our previous episode. The reason we censored them was because we are aware that our videos are being used in middle schools and high schools as a tool for language learning classes and we've had some comments in the past from teachers that ask us to moderate the language in our videos. BUT, we also agree with what some other people have told us about deviating the vision Easy Languages has about showing the culture in its full colours. Censoring is a way of depriving you from the authentic experience we usually show in all of our videos. So, in a way of compansating you, we're giving away this full take when we interviewed these girls who didn't mind the camera in front of them and talked to us like they would've talked to their friends. It doesn't get more authentic than that. This clip is subtitled and anyone has access to it. We'll be giving away some extra features every now and then so stay tuned to our Patreon campaign! Enjoy! www.patreon.com/posts/direct-download-11168219

diatras I completely agree, the whole reason this channel does street interviews is to give a taste of what real, colloquial language sounds like. Censoring it just kind of defeats the purpose.

@Brandon756896 жыл бұрын

I do think that culture influences a lot on feelings. For example, we all grew up being taught that one day we will "fall in love" with a person of the opposite gender and live together in a monogamous relationship... Most of us don't even question it. But things are much more complicated. Why not a person of the same gender? Why not love romantically more than one person? We can have more than one best friend, so why can't we have more than one "lover" in our society? And now the great question: *Does romantic love even exist? Or is it just a social construct?* If you look back at different civilizations and cultures though history, they all had different concepts of "love", which shaped how they lived their lives. Humans only began to marry "for love" very recently. In the old days, marriage was about children and property. A lot of people nowadays confuse lust and obsession with love too. We are just one civilization in the course of history. We are not the top of the stairs, but one of the stones in the middle. Today we have lots of boxes like "friend", "lover", "gay", "bisexual" etc, but should we really try to put ourselves and others in such boxes? Aren't humans, feelings and human relationships much more complex than that? Personally I don't believe in romantic love, nor in gender selective love. But I respect the people that do believe in this. I just wanted to share my opinion :-)
@michaelgoldstein53885 жыл бұрын
Thank you for sharing. I agree with you. At 65, my advice to a younger person - that feels like you do- is to find your friends and tribe that share your sentiments....because most people do not and do hold on to their 'boxes' and resentments.

@kQcsdN8JBUw4 жыл бұрын

@JCMH7 жыл бұрын
Because Easy Spanish doesn't matter to the Spaniards.

Huh? French videos are in France, English videos are in England, German videos are in Germany. Your logic is flawed.
@JCMH7 жыл бұрын
Yes, but Easy Spanish videos are not in Spain; that is the reality; the Spaniards don't have any interest in these videos. Indeed, the only Spaniards in Easy Spanish were interviewed in London! (Easy Spanish 8).

That's subjective, how would they know if they didn't try? I've heard Spaniards complain that ex-pats from UK don't learn Spanish. Obviously they do care.

Plus, you don't have to donate if you don't want to -- they've generously made these available for free :)
