Now you see why Tanya is such a stickler for following the rules, being the corporate worker at heart. The two guys last episode didn't follow company policy so Tanya fired them, permanently. More back story (and answers) in the next episode then it will pick up back where episode 1 left off.

Fun Facts: She goes crazy in battle because she gives herself a dose of (basically) cocaine via magic. And in the Manga she had like half of her Torso missing after the self destruct.

It think its cool that you switched to Japanese. Tanya's voice is so iconic and memorable in the original Japanese dub. Overall this series has incredible sound production, that really makes you feel the impact of the weapons and the stress of battle. It's fun to think about Tanya's role, and her(?) subtle growth throughout the series. You guys are pretty good at catching little details (like the Overlord poster, the awkward character of the English dubs, and the fact that Tanya volunteered to enlist earlier than normal). To help understand the overall flow of the war, try to remember the equipment that each group uses to fly. Are you able to increase the overall volume of the youtube video? Your voices are clear, but at max volume, I can barely hear the show at all. Thanks for keeping the subs clearly visible. It helps with the context.

If I remember right in the Manga there's like a side story of after the war were we follow a reporter looking into the mysterious legend who was erased from the records and as he questions something it then goes into what actually happened was a fun detail to me

This was supposed to be one of the best man versus god standoffs you could get, but the anime botchered it with stupid time stop. Also a big change in the story is that it starts portrayed more as a mystery investigation as you follow two historians or journalists in what might be the 70 or 80 trying to unravel the mysteries of the war and meeting with certain people to hear from them what really happened which lets us dive into the events we see.

First eps really threw me off too. Confused and no good for story telling perspective. But i can see why they do that, to make new viewer get hook immediately. But that's not my thing sadly. So i am really happy continue watching it to the eps 2. It's way more interesting.

With dub you miss out on half the character as the dub drastically changes the character impression and the people doing the dubs are known to actively change the dialogue on purpose. I mean not like small stuff like interpretation how something is worded, but entirely the meaning of what is said to somehow use the anime as an agenda platform for themselfes.
