Us too, we can pretty much tell now which is Chinese writing, but we check with our phones too to be sure. Even our children do it, they’ll go up to the counter with something and ask where it’s from 😂 a few weeks ago two of 2 children picked something up they wanted to try. We teach them to be independent so they went to ask, quite funny to overhear a 6 & 8 year old give a university student an education on why they aren’t ra*ist & love Chinese food but they aren’t willing to eat anything produced in China because of the clear lack of food safety standards. There were Korean tteokbokki on the counter and they were giving him tips to cooking them and their favourite ways. My partner saw him with a piece of paper and a pen writing what they said and asked us for clarification when we went to pay 😂 I saw a video a few days ago saying the average Chinese person doesn’t like to buy pre prepared or ready meals because they see them as unhealthy and they prefer to use fresh ingredients because it’s healthier…it made me feel quite sad for them, knowing what say a cabbage, rice, eggs, peppers, chicken & a sauce could contain. Another showed a Canadian lady showing abd speaking about the different fruit & vegetables available in a supermarket in China. I would have loved to have chosen some to try but all the terrible things I’ve seen popped into the forefront of my mind. Injecting goodness knows what straight into them, using banned pesticides and growth hormones in animal produce, dipping produce into toxic dyes and wax to make them look more appetising, animal produce washed in clench, injected with formaldehyde, stored in disgusting conditions, injected with again, goodness knows what to make them heavier. It’s as that they can’t go buy basic ingredients to cook a safe meal at home. There are a handful of countries I would have liked to have visited but I wouldn’t dare simply because of the food and hygiene around food preparation. Our children would be happy to stand buying food abd ask for a phone to translate ‘Excuse me, but I can’t see a sink, where do you wash your hands?

There are plenty of ghost kitchens in the USA and Europe, a lot of them popped up during shutdowns. There is nothing wrong with the concept, it can actually be very beneficial. Since the kitchen doesn't need to be in a prime location ( i.e. streetside, highly visible etc.), and they don't need to waste 30-70% of their retail space to customer dining area, they actually have room for larger/better/safer kitchens and storage areas, all at lower costs to the owner : lower possible cost to consumer without cutting corners. They are often actual closed commercial kitchens, not getting street pollution onto the food. They can be a scourge on delivery apps- spamming different shop names with the exact same food, but some restaurants do the same.

I like how chinese are getting more "liberal" about their food and wanting more "regulation" on their capitalism. And spite that, they tend to not like "liberalism"...

Everyone should have healthy food and water. China isn’t their trashy CCP and brainwashed folks.
@Meitti2 ай бұрын
This is nothing new. During Mao's Great Famine chinese tended to mix sawdust into flour to make it seem theres more of it than there really is. They even sold it overseas. Its the 60's when China got its notorious "Made in China"-mark of shame.

7:13 🤮a body shiny with sweat and bare chested, dripping sweat into food & probably arm out hair 🤢 I don’t think I can watch this to the end. If I was delivering food and saw these conditions I couldn’t give food to a customer and not tell them what I saw. There are places, particularly in London where buying a shop in high street locations is incredibly expensive so some have opened up in repurposed buildings just full of kitchens, some are supermarkets with no actual customers. But they have to abide by the strict food hygiene rules everywhere else does. Even school kitchens are checked, if you sell, store or produce food it’s checked by on the spot visits and a rating system. The public can contact environmental health with any concerns and complaints about food poisoning are taken incredibly seriously

I can’t believe it. These delivery only restaurants are nasty. And should be fined and closed

I don’t eat out, I cook every meal myself and I’ve never given myself food poisoning. I’ve gotten pretty good at it too, I’m nowhere near a chef but my steaks and ribs are awesome. Cook at home you won’t regret it.

To be fair you can. What comes in your Country is heavily regulated. So you won't get this stuff. For example I'm in EU, I don't even get the same disgusting Coca Cola that the Americans drink, which is basically concentrated syrup or liquid sugar
