Thanks for the reminder to breathe deeply, use a higher pitch, and play with resonance to project the voice and prevent vocal chords injury! BTW, the only clue that you’re a native Israeli speaking English as a second language is that you articulate almost every “t” at the end of words (even if very lightly). A suggestion: Consider also teaching the American accent option to use a light guttural stop “Don^ya know ‘im?” (the n is swallowed as a super brief unvoiced ‘stop’ where the middle of the tongue hits the top of the pallet) instead of a “ch” “Doncha know ‘im?” I’m a native Californian and I’m enjoying learning how to explain English pronunciation to non-native speakers. Thank you for bringing light and encouragement to others around the world.

I can so relate to the topic. I do have issue about my voice, whether it's quite low in pitch or I used to constantly feel that others feel it's so unpleasant to hear, lol. You're rather impressive to me because you're may be one of very few English teachers that concern down to the last detail about the voice. I do practice now and my goal is to have a beautiful voice in English and effortless to be heard. By the way, your voice in English is fabulous. Appriciate your work!

In my childhood, I was suffering from speech related problems and I came out when I was adult with the help of speech therapist.... But it broke my confidence about loving my voice as I always fear speaking with people if they are understanding what I am speaking or not....

Speaking about the voice, Before I started a channel on youtube I thought exactly this : if I don't like my own voice who will ? Nobody needs to sound as an American citizen So....as I love English I went deep into this.Thanks for your Videos.

English language seems light and fast, totally the opposite of the way I grew up speaking in South America, strongly pronounced and slow. Big challenge that involves changing not only your voice pattern but literally your soul.
@Maggies873 жыл бұрын
Beloved actor Raúl Julia kept his soul and his accent, in English, and he was loved for it. Please don’t lose yours, but instead, only modify what you must, to be understood.
