I don't think you should be ashamed of your work (Dune), David. I personally find it rewarding to go through the process of creating films just to have an additional unit of output and human experience out there for the collective good to smile upon. No matter how "bad" you or someone else says something you made it, even everyone for that matter, I still believe it has inherit value. For that reason, I am proud of all the amateurish films I've made, regardless of the quality they ended up as. I feel that they're pure of intention, and I think that's enough. Even the ones I wasn't totally into that I was told to make I'm still proud of, which I'm sure is how you felt about Dune. Just know that we're all proud of you, buddy! Have a wonderful day!
