I had to come to the realization that I'm not like everyone else. My gifts and my curses make me who I am. And I'm allowed to be me because that's all I can be. As long as you're not directly hurting someone, you're allowed to be you. And we can tamper the "negative" aspects of ADHD and anxiety with therapies like DBT and CBT, but it should be at the cost of losing ourselves in the process.

Something that wasn't really mentioned in this video is that a recent study has shown that ADHD can be divided into two categories, Impulsive and Inattentive. Some people can also fall under both or have a main side with characteristics of the other. This study combined the idea of ADD and ADHD causing ADD to fall under the category of ADHD as a whole. If you're interested in this topic, I recommend doing your own research into it. Also..... Could it be possible if there could be a video made on the topic of hyperactive ADHD and inattentive ADHD? :D

YES! That is me! I overthink so much and my internal monologue will not shut off and I am constantly going back to questioning if I really have ADHD. I have attributed all my struggles to anxiety and depression. When both of those things are in check I do better with things like cleaning, prioritizing etc. HOWEVER, I still procrastinate. Always have done it, always rushing out the door last minute and not being able to find keys, phone etc. Never understanding why I don’t just get myself together and do just the few steps necessary to make life easier. Messy house, things just thrown in a corner or in a drawer and I am hating it and know better but I don’t execute what I know. The overthinking if I really have ADHD has overtaken the improvement ADHD medications would help. Plus the rollercoaster ride of irritability when the medication starts to wear off I get more irritable.

This video is useful for people to understand loved ones with ADHD&Anxiety. Understanding “consistent inconsistency,” a common element of life with ADHD, is key to understanding the persistent anxiety of living with ADHD. “Consistent inconsistency” describes the distrust and uncertainty in yourself that builds up after years of experiencing ADHD symptoms such as inattention, overwhelm, memory lapses, and more. “Consistent inconsistency” is knowing, for example, that a task needs to be accomplished, but doubting the ability to get it done. Hope never dies, people can find the best coping mechanism to feel better.

One thing i would like to say, that i think it's the most important thing: Never self diagnose yourself. Many people can have moments in their lives, where everything just fits an ADHD / anxiety diagnosis. Everybody can to some degree associate and see themselves in these moments. It might even be a prolonged period of stress from work/school and other stuff that keeps colliding. Maybe you've known your entire life you've been... different. Maybe not. But today, it seems like a lot of people are getting diagnosis, because a moment of struggles that shouldn't be struggles. Of course you've had doubts, of course you've struggled in social situations, of course you've struggled of balancing stuff between professional, educational and social circumstances. EVERYBODY struggles with that at some point, even if it's not apparent. In the US (not all states i think) It's possible to have a 20min'ish (which is nothing) phone talk with your doctor, and the very next day, you can already receive stuff like adderall.

ADHD runs in my family, and my mother has anxiety and thinks I do too. I have a life coach, and I haven't been diagnosed, but I do have a feeling it's both.

You should make a video on Rejection Sensitivity Disphoria (RSD). That's where most of my anxiety comes from as someone who's autistic and ADHD.

What is the power of attention? It is the skill of focusing your attention on a thought or action without thinking of anything else. It means fixing the attention without wavering, exclusively on one thing. The one who follows the thought is also a thought! The one who follows the thought IS in thought. When you know that both are thoughts, you are home. You are not at home, you ARE home. Then allow thoughts to arise and allow them to be followed. You remain as That unmoved and unconcerned Being. This is the highest understanding.

This is off topic, but when I get angry, I try to relax myself. But sometimes I let go of the barrier and I get mad. But I’ll get there.

Most that are chasing this happiness are running from sadness. There is nothing in the world so much admired as a man who knows how to bear unhappiness with courage. - Seneca Life is not all sunshine and rainbows. Accept this hard truth. Learn that negative emotions are more prevalent than positive thoughts and emotions. We need balance. A battery needs an equal amount of positive and negative to hold a charge. 🔋 It's the spark of life. What is the sunshine without the storms. The storms are what make us strong. The roots grow in trees deeper from the wind and rain. This is what makes us appreciate the sunny days and respect the storms.

I have anxiety/panic attacks, the panic attacks are managed now with medication, but I've always suspected I had ADHD aswell, and after watching you're innatentive add video (which man, after the 5th time I rewinded to watch because my mind kept wandering off) I realized, that shit is me, those 5 symptoms define my entire life, I still have anxiety, but it's nowhere near as bad as it was 3 years ago when the panic attacks started....so I really think I have both, I don't know who to even talk to about this, my doctor, my therapist, it basically makes my brain float away trying to think about the process.

you mentioned how adhd and anxiety can co-occur, but one could also talk about how symptoms of adhd (especially if left untreated/undiagnosed) can cause anxiety as a coping mechanism. It has happened for me, that because I'm often forgetting things, no matter how important they are, I developed alot of anxiety as a coping mechanism (even if unhealthy) because with anxiety it's having similar effect to adrenaline or "doing tasks in the last minute" it can make me remember/function better in short bursts as needed. Though again VERY unhealthy! but it makes it very complicated when trying to treat my anxiety, because I start to panic when my anxiety is adressed, because it means that the adhd symptoms are gonna be more prominent and more impactful on life, like impulsive spending, memory issues or loosing track of alot of things. They do exist also despite the anxiety, but I know they could be much worse if the anxiety wasn't acting like barbed wire around it.

I relate to all. I believe I have ADHD and Anxiety and have for over 2 years now. It took a long time to convince my parents to let me see someone about it, but all they did was slightly mention it to my family doctor. Oh how badly I wanted to speak up and actually say my view and how I was feeling!!…. But I was too anxious to speak and just sat their quietly, fidgeting with my fingers and zipper, feeling like things are crawling on me while lightly tapping my leg. 🙃❤️

My neurologist (my mom took me to the neurologist because of my trembling and shaking) told me that I have anxiety, so... I guess I could say I'm diagnosed with anxiety. I thought I also had ADD because OF my anxiety, and I'm scared to tell everyone that because they may think I'm "looking for a disorder". By the way, I love the artstyle. I hope it'll come back. :)

I have a video that might help others not too sure, but basically the difference between being anxious of being around someone and having butterflies because u have feelings? Maybe another one could be how do u like this person? Like platonically vs romantically
